Studies say yes, UV-C does kill bacteria, but phones may have crevices that the UV light doesn't shine on and the small UV-C cleaners are not great on viruses. Not as effective as rubbing alcohol.

Your phone practically is a toilet.

If you handle it daily then it's likely coated in contagions and nasty crap

It doesn't clean, it sanitizes.

Just use your toothbrush and toothpaste to brush it after you brush your teeth. No need for an electronic solution.

A toothbrush and toothpaste won't remove persistent stains and won't clean out bacteria and biofilms in crevices. Personally I just use $1 hydrogen peroxide though. A UV sanitizer might kill bacteria but won't actually get rid of the biofilms without additional cleaning.

Lol this is like the people that say you should close the lid when you flush.

Nobody is getting sick from this. We have decades of data of phone use and centuries of toilet use and if these things were even remotely dangerous we'd have a public health crisis on our hands which we don't.

I could maybe see this being used in a hospital. Anyone else who buys this is just buying pseudoscience with a side of ewaste.

Not mine, I wipe it down with Clorox wipes daily multiple times a day.

Rubbing alcohol sprayed onto a microfiber towel also works great.

Only critique is they probably are remotely dangerous, which means they probably warrant very little if any concern . Sorry, I date a writer.
