But back then, you didn't have to make an advance reservation and could go on weekends for that price. And the annual pass back then was $134 for So. Cal residents. (Too bad they didn't roll back the price of the annual pass to 2011 prices… )
I remember those days 😔 I still go to Disney but less often now with the price hikes. We're going again in January 😄
$50/day for kiddos 3-9
Wait a minute, has magic mountain really devolved over time? That was my favorite place to frequent in the 90s as a kid for all the coasters…I was planning to go back as an adult next year. Should I change my mind?
It's better than the 90s mostly (nostalgia aside). I last went in 2018 during peak summer and the place was pretty empty actually. They've struggled with attendance unlike Disneyland which is a double edged sword. It's nice not having to wait in long lines (or any lines at all) but the place really felt dead instead of lively. I could've went on a off day because it was a weekday but it was summer break for kids.
In the 90s I remember certain nights (usually Friday/Saturday) it was notorious for brawls, shootings, etc. and was always on the nightly local news. The riff raff is gone but mostly because street gangs themselves are mostly a thing of the past.
If you want to go I'd definitely say go for it. It was my favorite as far as roller coasters (definitely not atmosphere) but nowadays I can't handle some of the crazier rides like X lol.

looks like the $275 version is valid *any* day, I don't see any restrictions or blackout dates.
I see no such info on the Disneyland offer site/terms, only a limitation between $250 M-Th pass and $275 7-day pass

Ah yes… Those were the days. The Christmas that we bought the family annual passes… the So. Cal. pass was $99 and they had a promotion that threw in some in Disney dollars too. And that included Sundays, which is the day we always went. When other kids at school talked about going to church on Sunday, my daughter proclaimed that her church was Disneyland.

The original Fastpass was included until 2013. Then they had Fastpass + …. Which got rid of paper tickets and required an app. And in 2021 they got rid of it completely. Now they have something called Genie… And you have to pay for it. Another reason to not go….
Nope, not valid on Fridays
Something I never understood is how ridiculously expensive Disneyland is yet over half of the crowd looked like they were on welfare

Ahhhh who could forget X!!! That's the one ride I rant and rave to people about saying "yeah, I did that" lol
Thanks for the updates, I'd be excited to go back with less people and like no bs of the past. Weeeeeeee
