According to this spec sheet ( https://storage-asset.msi.com/exc...-080US.pdf ), the motherboard in this prebuilt is the PRO B760-VC WIFI. This motherboard has 4 dimm slots, so if you wish to add 2 more sticks to run in a 4 dimm configuration (more stressful on the cpu memory controller, as it remains dual channel), you can. The motherboard's spec page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P...cification

This beats every non-refurbished deal available over black Friday and cyber Monday by a decent amount. If you need a new mid-tier gaming prebuilt, and are only willing to purchase in new condition, this is probably the best deal you'll see for quite a while.

32GB unless serious video editing, VMs, 3D modelling, simulation, machine learning, etc.

Otherwise, check to confirm 64 GB is supported on this motherboad.

EDIT: Wow! "Maximum RAM Supported: 192 GB" !!

I talked to a support rep over the phone and she helped me cancel the order completely, even though she said they couldn't price match? Haha. Just going to order it now.

This will handle a 4070Ti no problem. Which should easily do DLSS3 4K

Do you need to upgrade the power supply for the 4070ti in this PC?

I'm just going to return the one I got coming Thursday to the store. I don't want to risk not having a system just in case they cancel orders for taking to many

A 4070 was my goal too, I just didn't find anything within my self imposed budget.
Most reviewers hate on the 4060.

The 650w psu should be sufficient for the 13400f in conjunction with a 4070ti. That being said, the 4070ti is an absolutely horrendous value, and I highly recommend against purchasing one. If you pay anything over $550 for a card with only 12gb of vram (and even $550 is absurd), you might as well just be tossing money in a fire. Your best bet is to wait a couple of months for the nvidia "super" refresh.

no, the 650w can handle it. 4070 Ti power draw is only around 250w max 285. I have another system with 600w and it's running fine.

The 3080 in the $900 refurb acer deal linked above will perform fairly similarly to the 4070, just without dlss3 frame generation and having only 10gb of vram.

just get previous gen if want 4070 performance for cheaper. Acer Refurb i7 12700 + RTX 3080 $899.99 same performance as 4070 non Ti

Looks like only 6 left in re-stock.

I got my son dell alienware r11 with the 2080 super card in 2020. Any benefit going to the 4060. $700 is cheap for this. He's a basic gamer. Not high end. Even the 2080 super was high end in 2020
