According to this spec sheet ( https://storage-asset.msi.com/exc...-080US.pdf ), the motherboard in this prebuilt is the PRO B760-VC WIFI. This motherboard has 4 dimm slots, so if you wish to add 2 more sticks to run in a 4 dimm configuration (more stressful on the cpu memory controller, as it remains dual channel), you can. The motherboard's spec page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P...cification

This beats every non-refurbished deal available over black Friday and cyber Monday by a decent amount. If you need a new mid-tier gaming prebuilt, and are only willing to purchase in new condition, this is probably the best deal you'll see for quite a while.

32GB unless serious video editing, VMs, 3D modelling, simulation, machine learning, etc.

Otherwise, check to confirm 64 GB is supported on this motherboad.

EDIT: Wow! "Maximum RAM Supported: 192 GB" !!

Ordered one for kids first gaming PC. Any deal for a monitor?

1080p, 27". Great pairing for this GPU, and turns into a nice 2nd monitor if you ever upgrade to a new desktop or GPU that can push 2k or 4k graphics.

Yup. If you change those settings, you end up with a different screen.

Can anyone who has already received this model confirm that the case has a 3.5" drive bay? I want to make sure I can throw in a internal HDD.

Is switching the ram to 2X32GB an overshot? Worked in Android Studio on an older computer before and it was painfully slow. I wonder if I should do 32GB or 64GB for the ram. Right now I have a laptop of 16GB ram, most of the time the memory runs at 70-80% capacity and I have to regularly quit some programs for others.

I hope so too, don't want to waste money, remove the original one and buy 2x16gb

Do you know if replacing the existing 2x RAM (8gb) with 2x16 would make sense? Seems it would be more costly than adding two more 8gb but put less stress on unit. No idea what I'm doing here really but want to give my son a highly functioning gaming pc and believe the 32 gb of RAM makes appropriate sense either for an extra 50$ (2x8) or 100$ (2x16). Appreciate any insight you or anyone else may have into this!

If overclocking, 32GB would likely be less problematic than 64GB.

not good obviously, if you do simple machine learning it's fine.. but if you expect to train big NN with pytorch then you should look elsewhere or use cloud provider gpus.

Yes, but using all 4 slots is riskier than using 2, imo -

Not that I expect anyone to load them all up with 48GB. laugh out loud
