These are really more for backpacking than for prepping. That's why they're in individual pouches rather than in bulk cans. Lots of backpackers like these, as you can have a decent meal just by adding hot water.

Anyone know the in-warehouse price?

It says at the top of the product page that it is "Online Only".

Keep in mind the shelf life and nutritional value.
Going for a week on Cheerios and Snickers may result in a hefty doctor bill afterwards.

I bought 2 of these for $80 apiece Sep 5, 2021, so not a terrible price here.
Mountain House racked the prices a few years back. I still have my classis bucket (12 pouches) purchased @ $48 back in 2016. The same bucket is $88 on 30% off sale at Mountain House now. I doubt they will go much lower than that.

All in all the costco deal is the best this season.

Almost down to pre-pandemic prices. These boxes (and buckets before) used to be around that price MSRP. I remember several years ago getting a bucket of these for like $40 on sale.

Anyone happen to know what the shelf life is on these?
They promise 30 years, depending on the storage conditions. Hopefully, this sale is not the repackaged old stock. At the end of the day, Costco has a great return policy for unsatisfied customers.

Even so I've seen videos on Youtube of ppl eating 40 and 50 year old Mountain House and they were amazed at how good it tasted.

This is about 2500 calories for $70 plus tax. That's good for 2 days worth of calories in emergency mode, 3 days if you're really desperate. Try to spread it out over any more days and your body would think you are fasting.

Wait until those nuts and caramel bind that fiber up!

Mountain house on their sale page has 10 serving cans for 50% off and many multipacks for 30% off but this seems better. The granola is probably worst part of this deal

Politics + market conditions + inflation = more expensive long term food products. I don't blame them at all for the price. Frankly I'm surprised this box hasn't doubled from $48 in 2016 to $96 today. It's getting close, though.
