Will this one have the fiberglass fiasco like I've been reading on all the zinus threads?

TL;DR: Don't take the cover off the mattress. If you don't, you should be fine.

That is my takeaway -https://www.reddit.com/r/Mattress/comments/zk4g3h/lets_talk_about_fiberglass/

A review left on Jan 16, 2023 on amazon shows label with 36% glass. I hope this helps you decide. Having said that, I'll not take any chances with fiberglass. I've ordered arie and fresca from walmart but will wait for others to see if those has fiberglass or not, else it goes back to WM unopened.

Don't bother with these it's a lottery last deal everyone got in it was a 1% chance you didn't get a mattress that had defects and it was a pain to get a refund. HD and Lowes sells them for $250/300 and comparable to Casper

You might be one of the (hopefully) lucky ones or might inevitably encounter it down the line. But as someone who had first hand experience of owning a fiberglass mattress who NEVER took the cover off, that shlt just leaked out of normal use and age. I would never put myself in that situation again just to save a few hundred dollars. I had to throw so much of my personal and irreplaceable belongings due to fiberglass contamination. So yeah, it will be up to you guys if you wanna risk it or not. Never again for me.

I actually did take the cover off and it was absolute shit for weeks and throwing away thousands of dollars worth of stuff. I became hyper aware that mattresses have this issue and would notice it at other people's places. So even if you don't take the cover off it's going to get on your stuff. In fact it may be worse since you'll have a light case of fiberglass without noticing and be breathing it in the entire time.

The fire sock will break down over time and leak through the outer cover so why take a chance ? There are better alternatives in the market to make a mattress fire retardant. Manufacturers like this one are only trying to save a buck by using the cheapest materials to meet the fire requirement by law.
