I have one in each of our 4 bedrooms and we sleep with them on. They are screwed to the wall, they don't get hot to the touch, and we keep the area in front of them clear. We're on our 3rd winter with this setup and zero issues so far.

The biggest problem would be something touching the heating element which I don't see as an issue here. The other problem is old house wiring. A 1500W heater would take basically all the juice from one 15Amp breaker. I seen people put in a rod in old apartment fuse box because they keep burning the fuse!!! That's asking for a fire. If you run this on a 15A circuit, you will probably trip the breaker. Most lighting circuit are 15A while kitchen circuit are on 20A circuit.

The breaker or fuse is designed to protect the wiring, not your device. Too much current on house wiring is asking for a fire. So don't swap out a higher amp breaker or fuse if it keep tripping without upgrade the wiring.

Also, with electrical heater, they are all equally "efficient". That is, the electricity used are all converted to heat. It's best to direct the heat to the person and and "heat the room".

Our basement opens to the main level, so heat rises up and out relatively quickly, so the basement cools quicker. So to keep my wife's office space constantly warm, this allows us to maintain her ideal temperature without having to run the big system. I put an energy monitor on the heater and after initial startup, it runs in the 500-800 watt range for most of the day, until it auto shuts off once temp is met. Also, we have solar and run an excess, so electric heater is "free" versus our gas furnace, sorta...lol

Tldr, it is more efficient to run the space heater

We purchased two of these last winter from that deal. They are being used for our kitchen which is built on a slab and a tile floor, so it gets cold when you're barefooted.

These are a great solution for our situation, but it is important to keep the two side filters clean. We didn't notice them at first, and the power draw got one of our outlets pretty hot. Super easy to remove and clean tho.

They work smoothly otherwise. Glad we got them because the lows right now are around 20 degrees!

Bought this last year at this price, totally worth it. I have it in my basement bathroom, against recommendation, in the mountains of Colorado and I used it all last winter when I needed to preheat the bathroom before taking my morning shower. Download the app, create a schedule, set the duration, and don't even have to think of it. Not whisper quiet, but not super loud either. Highly recommended.

I believe that I read in the manual that it was not intended for bathrooms or anywhere moisture builds up. It is on the opposite wall of my bathtub and shower and it's been fine for me but I'm definitely going against recommendation.

This one says it's bathroom safe.

The listings are weird though. This seems the same as the white one, so no idea why it's listed separately, as the 1500 watt ones are listed on the same page, but with a color choice option
