The ball end makes it easier to rotate at slightly awkward angles.

It allows you to work on a screw at an angle. - sometimes when you cant have a straight shot at it.

There are others on Amazon, which come with aplastic handle. I highly recommend them as the handle attaches to the smaller arm of the key and allows you to put a decent torque without hurting your hand.

Ball end makes things easier: you can work with off-angle wrench, easier to stick wrench in when it is hard to see the spot. But if the wrench steel isn't up to task, ball can snap off. Happened to me a few times on cheap wrenches. And that can easily become a problem, you cannot even use an extractor on that screw.

It's pretty farking stupid, I just paid $12.14 three days ago for this exact same item and they will not do a price adjustment

Although too much torque will easily snap the ball right off. I've used this type of wrench for years and know it happens. Make the final torque with the regular end.

Personally, I won't buy sets without the ball end anymore. That has made such a huge difference in my scenarios.

Not sure about most guys, but I have an entire drawer of my tool chest dedicated to allen wrenches. The come with every piece of furniture and seem too good to throw away.

Thanks, this set does look better! Doesn't have the rounded heads but it does offer more sizes, so better case and an extention for more torque.
