I dont think you did the impact wrench, but the impact driver. Pics or it didn't happen
Bro is gonna have a bad time when he goes to change his lug nuts with a hex driver LMAO If you don't know the difference between an impact driver and impact wrench, chances are you don't need either.

Well, with your average Joe, chances are they'd want the impact driver between the two. There are a lot more homeowners/DIYers that need to drive screws than break bolts lose.

is there an additional benefit with this one if I already have a dewalt XR 1/4 inch and hammer drill? (DiY work and nothing professional)

I've been waiting for a good sale on the stubby for awhile. Thanks for the post!
I bought this on Monday w/o a second thought.
It was delivered on Tuesday.
Returned the 2.5 battery on Wednesday (today) and now I have the stubby, charger and 4.0 battery for $106+tax.
I threw a HO 2.5 in it last night and gave it a spin on the Porsche lugs torqued at 95#.
Worked just fine. 👍

I'm assuming you're talking about a 1/4" impact driver. Apples and oranges. You probably don't need something like this.

Will have to strongly disagree with you here - stubby, 4.0 battery, and charger for $112 is pretty solid. Shouldn't be hard to sell the battery and charger. The problem for me is I have a stock pile of batteries "to sell" that I never bother with.
Idk the charger is worth next to nothing. Like $10 at least around NE Ohio. Battery's deff are worth some decent $ I just sold 2 used 3.0's for $40

If you're not a mechanic or an iron worker probably don't need. I use my 1/4hex impacts with a socket adapter or just use an actual cordles/non cordless ratchet for everything else and the high torque for big jobs.

Got the M18 stubby 3/8 deal at Northern Tool from a couple months back. With some cc kickbacks paid $84. The perfect set up would be the flat nose on the M18 impact on the M12 body for easier access.

I did the hackable deal the other day which made the stubby like $60 bucks. This deal sucks compared to that
$60? How?

Been wanting a stubby and initially overlooked this deal... this is very tempting.
I kinda want another one. But I can't in good conscience get another one knowing the DeWalt atomic 921/923 exists. More power in a smaller package. I have both battery systems so that isn't a big deal to me. Wish I never returned the DeWalt cuz you definitely can't get it for 125 anymore

Different tools for different uses. But I would get the DeWalt atomic impacts, df921/923 of I had to choose. Unless you really need that option of the smaller battery the M12 offers for the most tightest of spaces. I have both the stubby and have owned the atomic. Only reason the m12 stubby stayed is because of the smaller battery option. Otherwise the DeWalt was better

Amazing price. I memby paying $150 for the bare tool off fb mp from some shady gentlemen who had a ton of unopened milwaukee stuff. Its a decent impact for getting into tight spaces.

Thanks OP, Awesome deal! In for one after reading amazon reviews. These are going fast, I'm watching the available inventory drop by a few every time I refresh the page. It does add the "free" battery separate on the receipt with a sale price of around $50ish so it looks to me like the "hack" would work if you wanted to return that battery to get $50 back. This will be my first Milwaukee so I'll probably keep the free battery but I am wondering if I should return it and buy a larger battery instead.
