Nice watch, but this Hamilton watch does not retail for $1,025 anywhere.
This is a joke right?
Not bad for classy dress watch. ETA 2892-2 w PR 42hr, Sapphire Crystal.
Look like coupon working on other brands, Glycine Sub Men's Watch GL0420 went down to $339 from $399. GLYCINE AIRMAN THE CHIEF VINTAGE MEN'S WATCH GL0467 from $649 to $552

Pretty fairly sized at 40mm, although I'd prefer smaller for a dress watch. Also no seconds hand on a mechanical/automatic watch seems like sacrilege to me but I understand it's to make the watch thinner. Not a bad deal
Hamilton and many similar watches are solid. They have a quality standart. However their technology, material and value-in-time(pre-owned price or invesment) are not good.
In summary, some ordinary brands are polished and marketed as if they were special watches, above their value in certain New York-based jewelers. More than 200 percent profit.
ETA 2892-2 (claimed in the description) has been discontinued and replaced with 2892-A2.
Where did the assembler find old ETA 2892-2 movements?? In the past, I have found Celita movements (25 jewels) inside grey market Hamiltons, despite ETA (21 jewels) being promised.
In turn, Celita could be replaced with a Chinese clone. Also, genuine Swiss Celita (in contrast to Swiss ETA) is available to third-party Asian assemblers, making clones (fakes) of Hamiltons. Or maybe Hamilton has a stake in these Asian businesses.
Something fishy here. I would suggest ordering, contingent on genuine ETA movement present. If you find non-ETA inside, such as Celita, the seller should agree to take it back.
The metal strap is just a bit too blingy for me. Something less curvy and with a brushed finish I think better compliments the fairly conservative dial face.
I nearly bought one of these last week when the price would have been around $362 total (less 10 or 12% coupon plus 10% sales tax). I'd be moving up from 37mm to 40 so I'm a little concerned about that, though the thinness of it may offset that a little. Also, they say the dial face is black but I'm pretty sure that it's dark gray; I couldn't decide whether that was close enough. But the movement alone is nearly worth the cost of this watch. Now at $345 with tax, that's enough of a price drop for me have to go through it all over again!

I think he means power reserve, not battery. But it's supposed to be 42 hours so his might have been defective.
