Can someone explain to me why you would need multiple cutting mats? I'm looking to either borrow a cricut or buy one to DIY some things for a wedding next year and trying to pick up accessories when they're on sale, but confused about this product.

Two things. The different colors represent different levels of stickiness which are used for different types of materials or projects. Secondly, they wear out over time. The Cricut is a cutting machine that uses blades. The cutting mats will take damage with use.

Got it! Is there a guide on typically how long the mats last for?

I'd also add the more mats you have the faster it is to make and cut designs. So for example have all paper ready to go on mats and just feed into machine instead of having to cut, peel, put new paper, feed through machine and then repeat for every cut.

I never thought of that, I have 3 mats but only use one at the moment. Figured I'd only use them once the first one wears out. Thanks 👍

Why would you need 6 cutting mats, are they not reusable?
