So my power went out last night and this morning my PC won't start, even though it was on a protector. HP proprietary PSU. Anyways, the PC is near EOL for gaming so I need to know if option A is acceptable or should I go with option B and wait for shipping? I picked up the last Cyberpower at the local walmart but havent opened it yet. Both cost $699 but the specs vary.

A - https://slickdeals.net/f/16995529-cyberpowerpc-gaming-desktop-ryzen-5-5500-16gb-ddr4-1tb-ssd-rx-6700-win-11-699-free-store-pickup

B - https://slickdeals.net/f/17123146-msi-codex-r-desktop-i5-13400f-rtx-4060-8gb-16gb-ram-1tb-ssd-699-free-shipping?v=1

Also open to other reasonable options.
Good Deal?

I did get a reply in the MSI thread and confirmed the MSI is better so I guess I'll order that and return the first one.

Neither, when it comes to desktops, build your own. You'll then only have yourself to blame for cutting any corners.

Gotta go with pre-built as I don't have the time to sink into a spec'ing a new build right now.

They seem pretty comparable at a glance, I tried to find the CyberPowerPC build on their site to figure out which specific components they put in it, but couldn't. Assuming MSI uses MSI-branded parts, I've had pretty good luck over time with their stuff, got an MSI gaming laptop that's over a decade old and still works well (could definitely use an SSD in place of the spinner, though...), and I've had MSI mobos and GPUs in the past.
The i5 is probably a little better than the Ryzen, but the GPU in the other one has 2GB more RAM. For all the difference it makes I'd probably just go with whichever one has better aesthetics (which for me, is the MSI) laugh out loud
I can say that CyberPowerPC has treated me well with my RMAs, no pushback whatsoever, and timely replacement for my RAM sticks.

I did keep the CyberPower, unopened, for now. Pending shipment of the MSI. There seems to be a lot of traffic discussing stalled MSI orders not yet shipped, so hopefully mine does so I can make this return.

Until then, I'm on my old ass XPS 8300 running Windows 7 lol

Not looking forward to W11 though. I like 10 the way it is.

Yeah, I'm still getting over my Win11 UI hate, I might even install FreeCommander or StartAllBack or something.

They both look pretty decent spec-wise. The 4060 will give you DLSS which is nice for any games that take advantage of it, otherwise the 6700 might come out ahead in games that don't. If it's to be used primarily a gaming PC, you'd have to look at some benchmarks of the games you plan on playing to get a rough idea, but I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I like the 2nd one after reviewing both specs. Good luck on your purchase.

Cool. I did return the CyberPower yesterday and am awaiting MSI delivery on Wed. As far as games go, The Division 1 for now, The Division 3 whenever that comes out. LMAO

I may revisit Cyberpunk since I never did after the launch fiasco.

Doesn't look like The Division is listed but here's the list for reference: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/...dlss-games

Nice. Yeah I don't think Div 1 has it. Only Div 2. I forgot about the Div clone The Day Before that's hitting early access soon, I think. Prob check that out since not much else to do lol.

Had to do a fresh W11 install as no apps were opening. Paint, photo viewer, snip tool, calculator. A bit annoying but everything seems good now.

Still working through the pains of W11. They moved right-click - add to playlist into the 'show more options' sub menu. Now a total pain in the ass to add songs. Only fixed with a reg edit.
