I would agree with you but I think it's safe to say at this point the battle has been lost. Apple and Google never gave users the ability to use sd cards them on their phones, Samsung and LG were the only one from the giant smartphone manufactures providing customers with sd card capability (on flagship devices), from those two LG is dead when it comes to smartphones and Samsung has turned to the dark side since years ago slowly copying everything Apple does

Motorola is mainly focused on mid-range and lower tier devices and I believe One+ devices have been a hit or miss in the past couple years or so, not to mention compatibility issues if you're normally switching between carriers.

Lifetime warranty? Does this mean that the endurance rating of the Pro version is higher than the endurance rating of the "High Endurance" version which only has a 2 year warranty?

Not likely. Haven't checked, but assuming the same trick by every manufacturer, they will say the "normal" product warranty only covers "normal" usage, like no more than so much write everyday. And obviously if you exceed that, the warranty is voided. For High Endurance line they either set a higher threshold on allowed write amount, or they make the wording slightly more forgiving.
