I got this offer for my Chase Amazon Prime Card. I activated the offer Nov 15, 2023, and paid a utility bill with my Chase Visa, and within 24 hours, I had a $15 statement credit posted on my account.

I wpuld never bank with Chase. My mortgage was sold to them. I recently researched their saving accounts after getting 5.25% somewhere else. They are offering a whopping .02%! F all the big banks after we bailed them out.

Sadly most force you onto debit cards not to get ripped off on utils passing on transaction fees more than screwing you out of this discount

If you have the offer on a freedom card, can you pay a utility using paypal and get the $15 and the 5% for the quarterly category? Has anyone tried this?

Chase sees it as a PayPal purchase and PayPal is not a utility company.

Actually it will code as utility + Paypal similar to when I use Paypal with linked Freedom Flex at CVS or Walgreens. I get 7% = 1% base + 4% Paypal + 2% drugstores
