the box was a bit different textured from the prior years. the fake had several "ribbons" as replacements (one was beads, real ornament only has the one good ribbon it is already on). but mainly and hard to tell, the crystal (or glass, or plastic) was not as good. it was not as clear, not as shiny, not as sparkly as the prior years.

I've met people who rip on man made diamond for rings but will talk about Swarovski as if its more precious than gold. Not saying this isn't beautiful, but this is also what this should cost.

Make sure ship and sold from Amazon, it greatly reduces the chance of fake. Still could happen, but 3rd party sellers would be higher chance of getting a fake than actually getting authentic products.

Bought for my mother last year for the same price. It's small but gorgeous and she loved it. You can remove that "2022" charm on it. It's a separate link - easy to remove with needle nose pliers. If your mother/wife/whoever LOVES ornaments, especially if they use white/yellow lights on their tree, this is a best bet for a present.

The outer white box is very low quality thin cardboard, so I would not include that if I was wrapping it. The green box in the picture is still a quality box for the ornament and one that can be used to pack the ornament back after taking down the tree. My green box did not come with any wrinkles/defects like you see in some pictures - but if it's going to be used to store the ornament the defects on the box will come with time anyway.
