Looks like T-Mobile is offering a hidden $10 hotspot plan ($15 before Auto pay). This is for consumer and business accounts. It's for BYOD hotspot devices only and connected laptops (so no phones or tablets). Looks like you will have to contact T-Mobile to get this. There will be a $35 activation fee as well. See the attached flyer and link for more info.

For all you tripping out on the plan name, its MI30TI.

The 30 is for the GB.

I just ordered it myself, sweet deal.
Buy hotspot on ebay for dirt cheap.
which 5g hotspot are you looking at?
looks like there's the Inseego M2000/M3000 and Franklin RG2100 and Quanta

Thanks for posting the deal. I signed up for the hotspot line today at the T-Mobile kiosk inside Costco. The $35 one-time activation fee was waived. The recurring monthly charge is $10 (which includes all taxes and fees). And I will receive a $25 Costco gift card in the mail in about 60 days. The only downside is that the monthly cost may go up in the future, i.e., it is not locked at $10 forever. However, since this is a month to month plan with no contract, I can drop anytime.

My total cost for the first year will be 12 months x $10 ($120 billed by T-Mobile) less the $25 Costco gift card for a total out of pocket cost of $95.
What are the prices after 1 year? If I signed up through T-Mobile is it a similar 12 month promo or is it lifetime?

It's not a lock? That stinks...

I have the biz $10 tablet line in an iPhone and use it with google voice. No issues. Google voice will get you voice calling.
I have a T-Mo "free line on us" phone SIM in an unlocked AT&T ZTE tablet that apparently (and thankfully!) T-Mo doesn't recognize as a tablet.

This reminds of the old days and cheap $5 unlimited "TZones" data plans that was only supposed to work on dumb phones, but also worked on certain smartphones that T-Mo couldn't confirm were Android or iPhones. I used to use it with Windows Phones, Symbians, Palm phones and "obscure" Androids that T-Mo didn't sell (ZTE, Sony, etc.) and apparently didn't recognize as smartphones by IMEI.

I think that some people are confusing this plan with some regular phone plans where you get unlimited high-speed data but capped at 10/20/30 Gigs to use through your phone's hotspot function. In those cases, they can modify TTL settings to trick the system into giving them more hotspot data, since it isn't recognized as such. However, this is simply a hotspot plan with a limit of 30 Gigs of high-speed data. It would appear to be capped at 30 GB of high-speed data regardless, so getting more through such methods would seem unlikely to work and the speed would drop to 600 Mbps after using the 30 Gigs at high speed, according to the OP screenshot of terms.
You mean 600kbps, much slower than 600mbps.

Yeah, obviously not going to get 600 Mbps with this, even on the best of days. Smilie

Is this a better promotion for my T-Mobile Business 100GB Hotspot plan and $10 unlimited data plan with 10GB hotspot? Can I separately add a 30GB hotspot line for an additional $10 with unlimited data?

Confirmed promo still active. Customer support rep creatively waived the activation fee by giving me $35 credit on my next billing - still had to pay activation fee and was given free upgraded 2-day delivery of SIM card.

Called Tmobile customer support. Mentioned promo of 30GB for $10 on a BYOD set up. Confirmed I have a hotspot (I may or may not, ultimate goal is to get sim card). Customer rep could not find code, I then provide M(mary) I(igloo) - 3 - 0 - T (Tom) I (igloo). It worked!

Thanks OP!
Really appreciate your post. I would have said O(olive) instead of zero and most likely they wouldn't have found it. Got the line, and the rep waived the activation fee (I'm guessing since I've been with Tmo for 19 years). Now time to look for recommendations in this thread for a hotspot device.

Literally the only reason I have home Internet service is for my wife to use the Chromecast to stream music on Youtube. Or to use a Bluetooth speaker to play music from her iPad.

Can I get this and connect a Chromecast to it with a hotspot? I could cancel my home Internet if so.

We use about 15-16GB a month according to my router logs.
Should be able to. Also, insane that you don't use more internet. You don't game?

I am not familiar with that category of devices. What do I search for?
A hotspot is a small device about the size of a deck of cards. Can be a bit smaller or a bit larger. It has a small screen on it, It will connect to a cell tower to receive a data signal (no voice) and beams out a wifi signal with a password you connect anything to that to get data when away from your home or work wifi. Laptops, Nintendo switches, tablets, phones (again no voice JUST DATA), valve steamdecks, pretty much anything you name it.

You can get around the no voice signal thing by using a voice over the internet service, like Facetime calls, skype, Facebook messenger calling, Google Voice and more.

I just signed up via tmobile chat. No activation fees. Decided not to get a hotspot device from mobile and decided to buy it from eBay.

Any suggestion on whether to buy M2000 vs MiFi X Pro 5G M3000?
