Deal Details
Looks like T-Mobile is offering a hidden $10 hotspot plan ($15 before Auto pay). This is for consumer and business accounts. It's for BYOD hotspot devices only and connected laptops (so no phones or tablets). Looks like you will have to contact T-Mobile to get this. There will be a $35 activation fee as well. See the attached flyer and link for more info.

Sorry. I am bit confused. Could someone please tell me whether i can use this SIM card in my tablet / IPAD directly and use this 30GB data for watching youtube or something. Please confirm.
Yes, that's the best use case for this.

Hard pull or soft credit check?
Hard pull. They use transunion.

This seems nice, but do they force you to use the hotspot? Or can you stick it into a unlocked phone?

It was simple, called the number, in my case I called the Costco t-mobile kiosk, asked to be signed up to the MI30TI plan. If you are not a Costco member use the phone number in the wiki, or better yet use the tmobile online chat. If you are a Costco member use 1-833-428-1765
Great, thanks for the info.

I would advise to go with a 5g capable hotspot like one from Inseego, so you can take advantage of a 5g speed that the plan provides.

Really tempted for this offer until I realize it requires SSN for new customers, and I just came cross this recent article "T-Mobile suffered from a "highly sophisticated" attack, which compromised 7.8M current customers and over 40 million records of former or prospective customers. It's the 6th T-Mobile breach over the last four years. Should we get used to it?"

Which is why I declined their free one and grabbed one of these off eBay. Going to throw it in my Tesla and cancel premium connectivity for a bit and see how it goes.

My wife is a Costco member and she is finishing up the call now - a bit more than 15 minutes but no charge - three SIM cards on the way - I have hotspots from prior Slickdeals threads.

I was not aggressive enough to snag the $10 business lines for tablets and trying to go tablet in recent days was a nightmare. This was perfect for my needs but kept a secret since August!

Thanks,

Dan

I signed up for a brand new account and didn't order any hotspot/device, only SIM card. Got no hard credit pull (so far).

Thanks OP!. Repped.. ordered Hotspot and $10 -30 GB plan. See below for detailed steps.

TMO CS : (800) 937-8997. They routed to Sales Team.

Offer codes also called as SOC codes (corrected) .. to MI30TI from MI10TI. I mentioned the code but CS was able to pull up the offer without code. But ensure you are getting 30 GB $10 per month with Auro pay regardless of which offer code from below is used.

MI10TI (Mobile internet 30GB Taxes included) .
MI30TI (basic internet hotspot with taxes included)

1. Ordered Franklin T10 Mobile Hotspot device (free with 24 month credits) - Sales tax $5.96(per ur state): Be mindful of the contract and SSN as its credits. Skip the device and purchase on eBay, if you don't want this.
2. Monthly $10- 30 GB Data plan - With Auto pay.
3. CS was kind enough to waived off $35 activation fee. Just state one of your friend got this and recommended TMO and ur now calling.
Edit: Seems TMO can waive off activation if you have Costco Membership ID , if that works for you. If not just put a kind request , and they may do it too.

4. Appears TMO Tuesday are applicable.

need to call back activate TMO to activate the HotSpot once I receive it.

This would be a steal if you have a cheap unlimited calling free and supplement Pocket Wi-Fi data.

Will update once I activate the device, but this may not last long so just grab it and cancel if you don't see it right.
So this comes with the Franklin T10? Isn't it 4G device only?

$50 a month or $600 a year. Pass on that.
Nobody on SD pays $50. Either $25 or $30
