Having seen the Vintera, I would only choose it if you'd like the chunkier neck or the switching options. The Player series has the Fender modern C neck and very accessible truss rod and neck pickup height adjustments. The Player series pick up sound quite good to my ears. I prefer dark fretboards, but the pau ferro on the Vintera Tele I received was really pale, about the color of a cappuccino rather than the dark brown or even black that the photo shows. The Vintera comes with a bigger discount off MSRP, and that is tempting (who doesn't love a better deal?), but I think I rather prefer the Player series if my Strat is any indication.

If keeping stock, probably this one as it has more switching options, unless you really hate the pickups or the color.

Excellent point on the neck. I need all the excuses to prevent me trying. Having evil thoughts of a test drive til Jan 25th.

If it helps, Adorama requires the buyer to pay return shipping on non-defective returns. I have a discount that makes that tolerable, but most will find a trial period to cost $22-25 if they decide not to keep a guitar.

I think that's reasonable, but prevents frivolous orders.

Well it was a good point until I read the neck was a modern c as part of the modified enhancement. Furthermore I found the blue available from Amazon $587.99. With their ease of returns I couldn't resist testing it out.

Not to mention the low end of the resale value is what I am paying. Merry Christmas to all.

It's the first line of Vintera models, pre-2023.

This is the Modified Vintera, which updates the neck and pickups to more modern specs (defeating the purpose of Vintera IMO), so certainly don't decide based on that.
