I'm happy if any company makes the car dealership industry go extinct. I'll gladly buy a new car online and stay away from bottom feeders in the dealership.

What happens after dealerships die and Amazon jacks up the prices? Competition is good for us. Autotrader makes finding the best deal in town very easy and you just gotta be firm about refusing all the dealer add-ons when signing the paperwork and not accepting a low-ball offer on your trade-in.

It's sad, I am looking to buy a new car soon, I want to test drive some but I legitimately don't want to step foot in a dealership and deal with the salesmen. It would be awesome to just put in a request, have a car dropped off, get to test it for a few hours or a day and then they pick it up and you decide if you want to buy one or not.

This is the reason why teslas are selling so well. You go into the dealership to test drive, there is no pressure, and then you go home to order it if you like it. No markups depending on region, no salesperson hassling you, no haggling, just go in and go out. The design and the builds might not be the best, but the experience is what getting people to buy.
