Fair enough, but the issue is that the company increased the price of the membership and is now taking away part of the benefits. Imagine if when Sony increased the ps plus prices and announced a couple months later that they were no longer offering "free" games monthly with the program. People would be fired up.
Ultimately, people need to just realize what they're dealing with when they buy from GameStop. When you buy a "new" game, there's a good chance it has already been opened, free shipping doesn't exist at a reasonable price, often times game sales are on games that aren't in inventory, and constant unknown restrictions on member perks.
Reality is that GameStop is pushing themselves closer to extinction with these practices. We don't need GameStop, but we do need physical games.
What cheap items are available that work with the $5 monthly coupon?
Since the cards are no longer eligible, I have to find something else for my nieces and nephews

GameStop has been killing it with the deals lately. They price matched the $350 Xbox Series X Diablo bundle for me w/ the pro membership & points… best deal this Black Friday season.
Lately I unable to redeem reward points. Also $ monthly reward no longer work with digital purchase. Pro membership is pretty useless to me now.
Not to mention the jacked-up price for pro. And the shitty site that never have the item in stock for store pick up. My $5 in points also disappeared when I went to redeem it.

Never again will I buy from GameStop. I just went through a 3-hour nightmare to return a controller in-store that I bought online (unopened, receipt in hand, within return window) that should have taken minutes. The employees are helpless with no leadership available and phone customer service is just as bad. Would you believe my simple return went all the way to the district manager
I think they changed that yesterday,Dec 1st. I'm the biggest GameStop fanboy and even I can't justify renewing my membership because of this.
That's garbage if true. I just used my November rewards 4 days ago for a $10 Nintendo card. Hope it doesn't stick. If so I'll buy a single Pokémon card pack each month and won't be renewing.

Like the other recent posters said, this isn't a consumer friendly company. More a consumer hostile company instead.
Their policies are antiquated and burden the customers more when compared to other retail stores chains.
To each their own.
Go ahead, y'all, beat me up too, but facts are, well, facts.
