Is this model compare v15
Per rtings:
The Dyson V15 Detect is better than the Dyson Outsize. The V15 is easier to store, easier to maneuver, and delivers superior cleaning performance on low and high-pile carpet. The Outsize has a larger dirt compartment that doesn't need emptying as often. It comes with an extra battery, which extends its total runtime and allows you to keep cleaning for longer. https://www.rtings.com/vacuum/too...shold=0.10

OMG - had Dyson for couple years, just realized how to use that elbow tool for underneath the sofa from your picture.
Depends on the attachment, you might have the "Up-top adaptor" which bends from the top, meant for cleaning above furniture. This package includes the "Low-reach adaptor", meant for under furniture. Both look very similar.
IMO I wish they included the Low-reach adaptor in the costco package.
We have this at home. I am really disappointed. This vacuum collects debris only when moving forward, the moment that you move back - spread everything.

Lord, I got all excited too seeing that picture. Glad I read your comment as I went with the dyson v15 from costco and you saved me a headache of figuring out what I might be doing wrong. Saved from a square peg in a round hole situation. Dang it costco!

We got this at Costco for $440 last month and returned it for the V15. The outsize is comically large and awkward to use when using the crevice tool. It felt like a bazooka trying to manuever it with the crevice tool. It has a much wider roller than the V15 that I will miss, but the V15 suction is noticeably stronger. We can confidentely retire the plug in vacuum with the V15. The outsize I would want to run at turbo mode which can get annoying as its so much louder. The V15 i mostly run in standard and get the results I want.

I've never had that happen with my 2 V11 Dysons (one is the updated laser version) unless there's a clog somewhere. Clogs happen sometimes where the debris enters the canister in my experience. You may also get clogs where the extension tube connects to the head or the canister. When those are clog-free, the suction works forwards and back, it's very strong. We have 2 dogs and 4 cats and ours work incredibly well.
Also, the filters (at the end of the canister section of the vacuum) have to be changed/rinsed when they clog or the suction won't be as strong. You can get multiple packs of off-brand filters on Amazon and eBay that work perfectly. Rinse off your current filter then replace with a new one. They can be reused once they're completely dry.
Purchased the v11 Outsize (should be same or similar) a few years ago. If I had the choice I would go with the normal sized Dyson. Very hard to use above head with the smaller tools. The specs may say only a little bigger than normal Dyson but in real use situations it is a monster to handle outside of regular floor vacuuming. It is powerful and works well for carpets.
