I bought this set before Christmas for 40$. I like the case, its a better design than husky and doesn't let the tools fall out. The set is 1/4 and works great. Good to have in the car. Bought 2 more for gifts. Great deal.

While as an American I'll use anything but the metric system to measure, I really wish we could just finish switching to metric fasteners. This kit has a nice assortment of MM stuff and is a good price even just for that stuff, but I want something in a small case and the SAE would just be wasted space for a car set or what have you that I would likely use this for.

Silly question...I can use these with a 1/4 impact driver, yes? Not in an industrial heavy duty way, I get that. But as a set to carry around with my drill and driver to use when needed occassionally.

you just need to pickup the adapter. generally comes in a set of three (1/4,3/8,1/2) for around $5.

These sockets are not impact rated. It may shatter with high impact and be unsafe (eye protection). It has lifetime warranty so I guess you can get a replacement.

What would a similar set of impact-rated run? On sale? I wouldn't expect to be using these in a high-impact sorta way, but I'd also hate to see me or someone else hurt because I saved $20 or so. It's not worth it, is it?
