Here's the rtings review of the q7 max: https://www.rtings.com/vacuum/rev...x-plus-max
It's not perfect though, so we do make an effort to keep our floors generally tidy and clear so the vacuum can do its thing.

I've been very happy with my Q5 and it doesn't take me long to run a mop over the floor. If you want a really quick mop option, snag one of those square mops with replaceable microfiber heads and a built in spray bottle from Amazon (O Cedar brand is well reviewed) and just hit the floor every few days to a week, depending on how dirty your house gets.
The Ultra dock does not make sense unless you can hook it up to a water supply and drain, at least not for more than double the cost.
I have the S6 MaxV Ultra. I run it twice a day, once in the morning after everyone leaves for the day and again in the evening after dinner. I used to run it in the middle of the night as well, but in the end it was too much (wife complained😂). Haven't had much problems with it. In the beginning we used to leave our charging cables around and it used to chew those up but after a month we learned to either put them away or just block off that area. It avoids socks, clothes, pets, and their toys, and most stuff a good majority of the time. The thing it really doesn't avoid is the small gauge charging cables, which is pretty understandable.
After 2.5 years and a little over 1.1 million sq ft ran, the main complaint I have is that the battery runs out quickly and it needs to go back to the charger a couple of times before completing the clean cycle. I may look into replacing the battery or upgrading to new one that has the auto empty/clean, but it honestly doesn't bother me. It can run as long as it wants because it isn't bothering anyone at those times. I've recommended roborock many times and have even gifted 3 more as house warming presents.
Seriously, their refurbishment team needs to step up their game

That should tell you something. You paid $1000 extra for auto empty? lol stupid reason if you ask me.

Price is what you pay, value is what you get.
If you're spending $1000 on a vacuum, shouldn't it remove the necessity of having to remove items from being stuck in the robot? It's supposed to be advanced? even has a camera, and STILL can't avoid objects. Given the alternatives, at cheaper prices, it doesn't justify the price for differential in performance. It's like buying Tesla stock over Stellantis. One is overvalued and doesn't perform much better than the other, at all.
The roborock official refurbished is literally brand new.
