Just to share my own experience on virtual MC/Visa cards from giftcards.com.
1. They cannot be used in-store through Google Pay.
2. They can be used in Paypal only if the merchant can accept them directly. In another word, if the merchant does not accept them directly, going through Paypal would not work either. For bill payments, if your merchant classified the payment as recurrent, Paypal does not allow prepaid credit cards (virtual or physical) for recurrent payments regardless if your merchant accepts your virtual card directly.
3. They can be used at walmart.com to buy physical gift cards at any custom amount greater than or equal to $5 but cannot be used on eGift cards. walmart.com now requires $35 minimum purchase (including gift cards) for free shipping unless you are Walmart+ member. Before Oct 2023, walmart.com had free shipping for physical gift cards starting from $5.
4. They are accepted by Amazon gift card reload. Amazon has increased the minimum gift card reload amount from $0.50 to $1.
5. Sometimes I saw split payment in eBay direct credit card payment. Sometimes I saw spilt payment in Paypal. I have never used split payment so I don't know what are the criteria (such as merchants or amount) for eBay or Paypal to offer split payment. But it seems to be an opportunity to use up the small amount left on a virtual card. If anyone knows more about split payment, please share.

You can add these gift cards to PayPal and use it for payments anywhere PayPal is accepted. I did this for Visa cards bought from this site

Did you check the balance of the card when you could not use it? If so, was the balance correct?
I would like to know if having the correct balance on the card would help me avoid getting such a surprised decline. Thanks!
Online it said activated with $100 balance but would not work no matter what happened because it was not actually activated and needed support to clear on their end

Just used all 3 codes for a total of 9 gift cards. All gift cards were instantly delivered and they worked flawlessly to pay property tax.

Tried to use the codes again but it wouldn't let me. It would display:
The promo code you entered has already been redeemed.

It seems like each code is limited to 1 use, up to 3 gift cards each.

Tried to purchase purchase one $100 card with 2 different credit cards. Both attempts were declined, and immediately got fraud alerts from both CC companies.

Can they just be added as a payment method to one's Amazon account?

I have always been able to do this with other MC gift cards. Thx

*EDIT* Yes, I was able to add this Virtual Card as the default payment method in my Amazon account.

Got a fraud alert from my CC also, but the transaction went thru anyway.

The way my CC does it is the fraud warning asks if the charge was authorized. Then the say if the transaction did not complete, then go back to the site and do the transaction again.

Someone has shared via dr credt that these are not accepted on ATT and Costco.com.
As for Costco, I believe they now only accept Visa.

Why not just get an Amazon Prime card and get 5% - 6% back on Amazon? Unless you can't qualify for one, then this would make sense. Or if you don't have Prime membership then it drops down to 3% back.

Check the fine print on the Amazon card. I recall many users advised of MANY issues. Can't recall specifics but due to my spouse's disability, I spend on average $500 per month on Amazon and after reading into it, I decided to stick with my Citi 1% now, 1% when you pay card. Citi has been great over the years and for peace of mind, I won't switch my primary card. We pay it off monthly and in total average about $2k per month. We realize we can get more but in today's world, we'd rather not have our personal information with every bank. For the last thirty years, only three credit cards (back up is Capital One Visa for Costco) and I gave back my Chase card.

I tried to use it to buy a Costco cash card but the order got canceled and I not yet got the balance back on card. Costco reps are saying I should talk with 'my bank'. Whom should I contact in this case??
Did you buy anything in the last week?

Can I reload these with a debit card? I have a few rebates on prepaid debit cards that expire in a couple months.

what happen if you need to buy something that is 101 and you only have 100?
In general, if you have $100 prepaid Visa/MC card and try to use online for $101 item, it won't go through. For online use, the prepaid card has to have enough balance to cover the whole order cost.

If you have same $100 prepaid Visa/MC card to try to spend instore for $101 item, you tell the cashier and they will put $100 for your prepaid card to go through then you have to pay the rest of $1 with another payment method (cash or credit/debit card). Last time I had a prepaid Visa card to use instore, I didn't even have to mention how much remaining balance I had on that card as the cash register system automatically tracked the card balance and used it towards my purchase price (I had to pay the rest of purchase price with cash as the prepaid card balance did not cover the whole amount).
