I'd say no. The XM6s should come out next summer so you may want to wait. I imagine there will be minor improvements all around for the XM6s plus an answer to Bose's surround sound that you can use with any app. There will likely be enough new changes to justify an upgrade from XM4 to XM6

Coming from the Beats Studio Pro, I'm impressed with the design and sound. I'm happy to say the ear cups fit all the way AROUND my ears with no pinching or discomfort. Still getting used to the touch controls though. Luckily the touch controls can be disabled in the Sony Headphones app if needed.

Hope they switch back to the folding design for the XM6. I've been holding on to my XM2, and was going to jump on the XM5, but they switched to the bose 700 like design, which was a bummer.

Guess I'm returning the XM4 that I bought from Amazon for $228 that is being delivered today and buying this one instead. In terms of portability, I'll just hang it on my backpack whenever I travel.

I agree with you. I had a Bose Q45 around 80 days from a Costco deal and returned it. ANC is not terrible but not best in class.

XM3/4/5 ANC is best in class. Period.

Anyone compared this with SkullCandy Crusher ANC 2 headset?

I currently have XM5 and XB910N and I am sure I am going to return XB910N and keep XM5. I like the extra bass, but XM5 feels so much better (both sound quality and build).
