BEWARNED: service discount change to "$30.00/mo discount applied
Ends 12 months after activation" during final checkout!
*at least for my address
Mine said, "$60.00/mo discount applied. Ends 24 months after activation." So I definitely need to call in to try to get that reduced or switch before that hits!
I have 500Mbps. If I connect directly to the cable modem, I get close to that speed. But if I take the same cable and connect it to a router, all ethernet connection behind the router is rarely above 300Mbps. The router is a fairly recent wifi 6 router with cat6 wires. I do fine with 300Mbps but just curious. Any idea why?
Same here, and the 2.4 is crap, best of 80mbps and averages 10mbps DOWNLOAD. I had to bridge multiple routers to access 5g all over the house and that runs 340 average.
When I click the link there's no price indicated and the offer includes a mobile line

You can just call and threaten to cancel your plan and they might give you this price. I got mine dropped from $70 down to $50 last month, but it will only last for 12 months. Every November, I have to do my annual Spectrum call and threaten to quit, and then they keep my price between $50-60. It's stupid, but it's not that hard.
Bonus points if you're actually WILLING to cancel and leave them, and not bluffing. There are actually some decent home 5G options from Verizon and T-mobile nowadays, check your address and see if they'll cover you.

We did just fine with 200 Mbps when we had Spectrum several years ago and did just fine with T-Mobile 5G HI which was much more variable (from 100-500 Mbps). But Spectrum is going to give us 500 Mbps for $40 so of course I'll take a higher speed for less money.

you can only get the true speed HARDWIRED. if you're wireless, your speed depends on the wifi settings you have. also, more speed means you really need a more powerful router. build your own router using pfsense and add a unifi wifi 6 pro access point stead of using an off the shelf router you find at bestbuy.
I believe this deal is for new customers only. I've paying 205 dollars for basic tv, one living room tv receiver and 300 down/ 10 up internet.
