this has been a 'deal' for like 3 months at least lol.

Other times this has been listed, people say it's worth the extra $10 for built in bluetooth on the BONES UK version

I have both versions… both are worth it. Great little amp for low volume jam sessions and practice. Love the fact that it's battery powered.

Yeah you are good to go then. Those things just make me think of how far practice amps have come since I was a kid. I would have killed for one of those when I first started.

The last time I ordered from them, I got a defective unit, (battery leaked), I had to return and it was a hassle to get the refund.

How loud can this thing go an how much quality ? Could I use this as a bass amp as well? I see it has aux so would it reproduce bass guitar an drums on tracks I play thru it perfect?

I had that small Marshall amp (looks like a dual stack cabinet) an it was pure junk sound. I know not to buy Marshall an possibly a pedal would've made it better but I'm pretty sure it was junk sound an junk db

I use it exclusively as a bass amp. It's ok. I highly recommend the extension speaker for it if you're planning on using it for bass. I have even taken it caroling with ~60 people, 3 acoustic guitars, cajon and percussion. And it sorta works I guess? Not enough clean headroom though, it's fully cranked, clipping, but it's there. For practice, it's fun and impressive tone. Also, the "bass" version and guitar version are literally the same, only difference being the controls on the unit (reverb vs compressor, etc). In terms of tone, it's acceptable. For the price, controls, size, it's quite decent.

I built myself a custom 4 x 4" battery powered amp and it murders this, but it is custom tho, and I spent hundreds plus months to design and build it. Worth it for me, works even as an amp cuz it is loud. I imagine the Phil Jones would also be better than this, but take a look at the price tag. I just figured if I wanted better than the blackstar for an acceptable price, I'd have to build one myself. The target market is small (lmao) but also very expensive. For guitar, this thing is beast imo. Bass is a different story altogether, not just for this blackstar but in general.

Also keep in mind that the power supply it requires if you dont wanna use batteries is sort of hard to find unless you buy OEM. I wanted to use a powerbank for it but it was difficult to find one that provides the specific voltage and amperage required. Batteries last a decent while though honestly if not fully cranked and blasting.

I also play a 6 string bass an that means I'm below Em even if I don't down tune. So clipping on standard tuning alone isnt quite what I need. I'm thinking I'm gonna go with an portable ion p. A. System or similar an have to build something like a jbl speaker /receiver setup again . I haven't even used "professional" amps the last 10-20 years. Usually I run from a pedal to a receiver (used to have very nice assorted stereo components ) or portable speaker. I think audio gear is way overpriced an their products don't even enter yet alone win audio competitions. But Im looking to rebuild in one way or another.

The portable PA worked excellent for my guitar, has wheels an a telescopic handle an a newer 240 watt version exists with heavy duty wheels. I'm having problems finding the perfect mix of new gear tho. So many things have 5/6 things I need. What I really would like is an all in one that has no latency, outputS an inputS with separate adjustment knobs for each, an can do everything from bass/speaker test tracks to high pitches squealing, with no feedback or added noise, an is loud, but as small as can be. I already have a small speaker that provides latency thru the jack an muddies the sound of a 6 string bass. So I'll pass here.

I actually dragged that an my instrument up a steep mountain side to play in the middle of a jungleish environment. Tho even lifting for years by the time I got everything up there I barely had the stamina to play (an looked wrecked from sweating an exhaustion). Would be eaiser to do more dumb things like that probably if I had a not so small, no so medium JBL. If I get into bigger items like jbl party boxes none of them have the ruggedness of the ion pa selections. In case I get in the middle of a mountain area again, or be it just a protest that turns into a small war 😅 oh an it rains in most citites so it's nice to be able to at least expect it to live running to put the stuff inside. Tho some citites it always rains an would be nice to just stay outside like their citizens do since it always rains

When it comes to batteries my pedals have always been using rechargeable for like 29 years an i got eneloops or lithium for that.

Right on, yeah the Fly is good for what it is and for the size, but not like it's magic. I have a 212 GK that smokes it obviously lol but like you, I haven't really used it much the past few years unfortunately, I really love its tone. I also considered the ion or others but I decided I specifically wanted something very compact so I just ended up building my own.
