These things are utter trash. Buy if you hate your kids or someone else's kids. I got one on clearance for $5 a year or two ago and it wasn't even worth that.

It chews through batteries, derails frequently, parts fall off the cars, the track doesn't snap together to keep it in place, generally chintzy build quality. "But it's only $10!" as the other guy said. Yeah, what people fail to grasp is that spending no money is often better than spending a little money on something of terrible quality. Save up and buy a better quality set that'll last.

I have this, I took it apart and removed the wires from the speaker because it's ungodly loud. Otherwise it's fine.

It's freaking 10 bucks! The cheapest meal from McDonalds costs more than that.

Some more descriptive feedback would've been helpful.

I bought a Thomas Disney combo train from Walmart that was on sale for $17 three years ago and man it has been the greatest train purchase. I pit it on during Christmas under the tree but my kid gets so excited to see it and I am sure he will be this year around too.

Yes, and it will last about as long as the cheapest meal from McDonalds. I will always find the "it's cheaper than food!" logic weird, frankly. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's worth purchasing, especially not if it ends up in a landfill after a couple uses.

I know its not $10 but the Disney 100 Years Of Wonder train at $22 (at Walmart) is much more durable and better buy for a kid toy train. The Disney one is no longer in stock from Walmart but kept coming in and going out of stock lately.

What do you buy if you want to have it be infinitely expandable?
