Figures i paid $400 more a couple months ago.
That said its a nice looking shed.
It will require warm temps to put alot of it together so you can strong arm it to flex into position. The roof is definitely a two person job and again let the roof panels heat up in the sun...here in Chicago when It was 80s out was still difficult. Could never get the doors to fit flush and Customer support is missing in action if you need help. I blame the molding and warped parts.
Over all its ok and we will see if it lasts through a Chicagoland winter.
Its not waterproof do open slats where bottom of wall panels attach to floor panels. They are like drains every 24"

I would definitely get it at this price though.

I personally would stay away from "lifetime".. I have a previous post somewhere on the slick that shows a photo of the front of mine it has a split down the seams on all 4 corners after 2 years.. Lifetime did not honor the warranty and are a mockery to be called "lifetime"..
I suggest you try suncast / keter / rubbermaid / sears.. anything but this cheap doodie

Costco and amazon have had sales on wooden sheds this month.

Options were way better last week...
Check reviews! They are a bit rough...
You can always get free plans and buy and cut the stuff for less than one of these kits...
Costco does have sales on them a few times a year...
I have been been watching prices for about 18 months.

Ya, I'm pretty handy and wouldn't mind building one myself. The kits seem to have more bad reviews than good reviews. Have you found decent shed plans online?
for these prices of the Costco and Amazon kit sheds here in Western PA / Eastern OH we have built, painted (your choice of colors, roofing color choice too) and delivered sheds at basically the same pricing

I would like to see a wood shed go on sale some day. Never happens even though they are still triple what they were pre covid.
Whenever I see these kits, I wonder how much it would cost for me to make my own wood shed. Since I have Covid and I'm bored, I'll try to do the math. Say I go 10x10. Concrete pad: $1000, Studs: $115, treated baseplate: $30, top plates: $40, 2x6 ceiling joists (so I can go up there and store heavy things): $80, 2x4 rafters w/ 2x6 ridge: $80, 1/2" plywood sheathing for all (for easy calculation): $450. A box each of gun spikes/8s: $250, miscellaneous hinges and other fasteners like screws and tapcons: $250, asphalt shingles and roofing nails: $350, vinyl siding: $1000 (really spitballing on this one because I'm getting lazy).

Add it all up: pushing $4,000. Add another $1000 if I want an overhead door, which I probably do if I'm spending this much. Try to find a couple of windows at the restore for natural lighting included in the above costs.

Yikes. That price went up fast as I was going along. I sometimes forget what siding and shingles cost. Maybe I'll just caulk and paint the plywood, lol! You can always go back and pretty it up more later, since eventually I'll want 120v out there and maybe insulation so I can sneak out for a beer when we have visitors.

Alright, thanks for reading. Follow my channel for more useless calculations and pipe dreams! "And as always, keep your stick on the ice."

Here's a video on how to adjust Lifetime shed doors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5VKLwsfb5A

I just adjusted my doors this week and it worked perfectly although the logic seemed somewhat backward at first. My doors were super out of line after construction workers had manually pushed my 10'x8' out of the way onto uneven ground (partially on artificial turf) before they began excavation. They tried raising the low side but it didn't work so they gave up.

After they left, I slid the edge of a hand truck under the corner of the high side of the shed, lifted up on the shed, and inserted a block. Lifting the high side made the middle of the shed lower. Then, I inserted a shim underneath the shed (directly below the door handle hinge) of the door that was too low. Perfect!

If you are in New England these are the best quality sheds you can buy https://www.reedsferry.com/
The build the shed on your site and you will be satisfied. Not a slick deal but a good choice.

I have the Lifetime 15ft long version, it has held up very well for about a decade......except 2 foot of snow fell in Northern VA the first year and the roof buckled inwards. Lifetime was called and sent not only all the parts to replace the roof but also threw in a free snow load kit without me even asking. Summary: I like the product, the company several years ago at least was nice to deal with, and if you live anywhere there can be a big snow to consider the snow load kit. Its just extra metal braces to support the roof
Do you need a permit in NOVA? I need a shed, was thinking of getting something insulated with electricity, but this may do just fine.

Can anyone vouch if this is a good deal? It says Lifetime, just significantly larger (8x15) at around the same price. Siding looks different though and the normal price here is significantly less.

https://www.wayfair.com/Lifetime-...IYQAvD_BwE
Wayfair is misleading you at that link. The description is 8x15 and the pricing is set to 8x7.5 for $1099.

8x15 is $2,249.96 and is Out-of-Stock.

Resin is so much better for the environment than plastic. Oh wait. Not that I'm too moral to ever get one, but that 'spin' stuff burns my britches.
