First off, these aren't subscriptions. It's a perpetual license key. A subscription infers it renews after some period of time. To call these "subs" or subscriptions is a misnomer.

Second, this is not Office 365 in case anyone was confused. It's Office 2021 Home and Business (a retail product) meant for home business users.

Third, these do not include the 1TB OneDrive that is included in Microsoft 365. This is just apps.

If you don't need cloud storage, and just need apps, and want to take a shot that these keys are legit, I guess $20 isn't a big gamble. This product (legit license) is $250 from Microsoft [microsoft.com]. If you think you get the same thing for $20 then this deal is for you.

Most likely grey market, here's a great write-up from another deal regarding what that means: https://slickdeals.net/f/16878332-microsoft-office-home-business-2021-lifetime-license-for-windows-or-mac-35?p=165501458#post165501458

I just received my key and was able to successfully activate. It's kinda sketchy because the key doesn't work on Microsoft's redeem website and you have to download their specific img file from mycodes24.

Wait a minute? One time activation? I never noticed that. I've sold a bunch of these two clients over the last few months as they've been on sale. But people transition from computer to computer. I never imagined that it would be only for one installation. Shit happens. Wild.

I've purchased a dozen of these since 2019 and not a single one has been invalidated yet.
Did you buy from Groupon? Or which provider?

Quote from So-Many-Deals :
All Groupon, Stack Social, and other independent Media Marketplace sites, are mostly selling re-purposed re-used off-licenses created/discovered by an international install-code finder person/group. They go by many names (often "NerdUsed") and they sell their international software install-codes from $2 to $50 per code, depending on the country, site fees, etc.

There's no difference between one of their codes bought through Groupon or a site in Italy, India or Indonesia - except they know Americans are willing to pay significantly more for the same codes. So they rotate short-term "deals" between U.S. media marketplace sites. They push "ACT NOW", "LIFETIME LICENSE" and "EQUAL TO STORE BOUGHT CODES" to get fast sales.

They're all in the same re-purposed re-used off-license category that can be flagged by Microsoft at any future time. They guarantee install (eventually) during the credit-card chargeback period, but they don't guarantee them permanently. We can't go through the marketplace site afterwards for future problems because they state that they are only a financial transaction hub, like eBay.

"It installs" does not equal "it's yours for life", but will likely work for a few years, unless it fails to immediately install. The same with buying keys for Ferrari online. It may work for a year or ten, or not at a all - but you are definitely NOT the life longer owner.
Groupon = Stack Social = PC World Marketplace = Woot = every other Marketplace Site

Paying $25 is getting you no better product quality, or authenticity, or product life, than paying $2-$10 on an international site. Groupon is giving you ZERO added authenticity or added value, outside of a 30 day return window, that coincides with your credit card chargeback period.

U.S. based marketplace sites do well selling these global codes because they can charge significantly more for these codes, while offering nothing more in return (except its site brand recognition). Instead, people should pay $2-$10 and donate the extra ($15-$23) to a local charity in their area.

Alternatively, one could purchase a genuine product, sourced directly from Microsoft, via an Authorized dealer/distributor that guarantees that it's yours for life, and unlimited RE-INSTALLS (if de-install, then re-install for a newer computer or updated storage drive).

I'm not saying that buying this category of install codes is bad, but paying ridiculously more for a code purely because one recognizes the U.S.-based Marketplace site is wasteful. You can extended the life of your (temporary) install code by avoiding major upgrades, reinstalling, changing drives, moving to another computer, etc. After your credit card chargeback period, you have ZERO warranty or install guarantee from anyone.

Lastly, the international install-code finding group still gets your name, address, phone, and perhaps more, whether you purchase from Groupon, Stack Social, etc. They request that as part of their agreement so they know who ended up with a code. Use a fake name to avoid personal details being sent to a group located in a non-Western country. No one honestly believes that their purchase details are being given by the global finder to Microsoft? I bet some do! That's so funny.
Who's the cheapest place to buy from then? Smilie

And what do you think the difference is? I've had years and years of experience with these and our enterprise versions at work. Same thing.

Of course you can! I have keys that have been through 5+ installs. Just call the # and say it's on zero machines.

Anyone received their keys yet?
I received mine after 3h 35m.
Already had Office 365 installed from work account.
Registered this purchase to personal account.
Word said I needed to update/patch software (because it's Professional Plus).
Worked smoothly.

Too much ethics or legality talk, it's verging on political for me.
Yes, let's notify everyone these are not officially licensed resellers with direct installation, activation, and support through Microsoft.

As a deal, and speaking in reality:
This is a good price for the product. ~$21 is the price of ~3 months of Office 365 monthly subscription. So if I get 3 months of use from it, I lost nothing.
Quote from DrSachmo :
Well isn't this product lifetime of this version? This version end of life is 10/13/26

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us...ffice-2021 [microsoft.com]
The upside of the deal is licensing until October 13, 2026 and potential post-EOL/legacy usage after.
(I still have Office 2013 installed on my Surface Pro 4 and it works fine for occasional word processing in a pinch.)

I will never pay monthly for an offline application. It's just Microsoft being Microsoft.

I had to wait about 10 hours after registering at mycode for my key to arrive via email. There are instructions with a Microsoft download link in the email. Haven't tried to activate yet.

Same product but only $19.98. Use code PROMO to save 15% = $16.98. Add any other codes if your account qualifies.

Says you can order 5 vs 3 listed in the OP's link.

Key email arrived about 4 hour after registering.

Downloaded and authenticated just fine. Happy to have excel again, libreoffice was good for free, but I'm so used to real excel using it every day at work.
