I went to the Best Buy in Olympia, WA to see these. They had two of them and they were beat to shit, and didn't have AC adapters.

Actually, they were customer returns. It amazes me that people beat the shit out of their equipment, and then return it without the power cord? No wonder Best Buy is in financial trouble, they should tell those customers to pound sand and not accept the return.

Don't buy opened box item from best buy. They shipped me an empty box which the retail box is so beat up. I talked to their customer service, they insisted they shipped me the item in perfect condition. Complained to BBB and they just ignored it.

Then what happened? Did you eventually resolve it?

I feel the same way with Mac. Application windows management sucks even with 3rd party apps.

No wonder Best Buy is in financial trouble
Best Buy is the 3rd largest online electronics retailer in the US after Amazon and Walmart and has made $2.45 billion in profits in the last year. It's not exactly growing but it is by no means in financial trouble.

I've bought multiple items from Best Buy open-box without issue, but it's largely the luck of the draw. I've never had issues with returns.

I'm seeing open-box excellent at $769.99 and fair at $571.99 in the SF Bay Area.

Preach!!!! I've used Max for years, decades. But I really do think that productivity is slowest on a mac. And the command shortcut keys must be designed for people who only type with their index fingers. I see people on Max all time they I guess feel like they're looking cool working, but they're slow.. and I see why. Everything about that thing is slow as far as usability. I'm just so much more productive on a Windows machine but I use all three for my line of work. But it's very rare for me to see anyone in my field that seriously uses the Mac. They probably use it like me, personally browsing web or doing something specifically where there is software that is catered to and works well on there.. outside of that for any type of business work coding or anything else, I just really prefer a Windows or Linux box
