People think nothing of ballpoint, rollerball, and felt tip pens, to say nothing of Sharpies, dry erase markers, and non-permanent markers, plus paper, post it notes and (dare I say it) wrapping paper.

So now we're going to get upset about decent writing instruments that are priced so people can try out an interesting pen or a different ink using about the amount of plastic found in the packaging discarded with a breakfast yogurt or soda bottle.

I have a collection of fountain pens, though I don't use them anymore. Boy, it brings back all the memories of childhood when I used to get them as a gift from my father, uncles, and cousins. In those days, I used these fountain pens to write with.
I will get the set, and maybe I will start writing my family history by the time I finish these six pens and can complete the book.

Not trying to smear your thread, but being a lefty kills the deal for me. Also, memories of leakage, and scratchy nibs, but those were the cheap ones.

Harder to find at B&M stores now, but my favorite pen for quick drying and smoothness is the Rollerball Jetstream RT 1.0 Bold. Been using them for over 20 years. Hope that helps.
