I originally decided to signup because it finally included a streaming deal. I hate commercials, but my MIL doesn't. So, she uses the paramount+.
The thing I use the most is scan & go. I don't really care for order pickup. So, this is a perk that allows me to get my own groceries scanning my items for checkout as I put them in a cart. When I am done, it asks me to confirm my count then has me scan a self checkout qr code to pay.
- For weighed items, they have scales to use.
- For alcohol, I will have to wait for the cashier to approve.
- In 6 weeks, I have experienced one validation that required the cashier to scan 3 random items from my cart to confirm I also scanned them. I was not expecting that and it happened on a day I wanted to be in and out. But I understand the need to measure customer error and integrity for a new program.
- I also load my cart with 3 totes before entering the store and put my items in the totes so I do not really need to touch them again after putting them in the cart. So no bagging.
Is it great? no. I don't grocery shop weekly but it is pretty convenient for me. A quick visit to get icing for a cake just got faster.
Also a savvier shopper will be able to make better use Walmart Cash. I didn't even try and accumulated $14 from my normal shopping routine and brands. I expect that alone to make up the cost. I believe this available to everyone but the scan/go just makes it super easy.
The other perks include $0.10/gal off for gas. Unfortunately, we don't have any participating station near us. But I will fill up when I can.
Early access to some deals might seem not much like a perk, it practically guaranteed 3 or 4 of my gifts this year.
Will I renew? I don't know. If I am being fair, it has already paid for itself in less than two months, so it is likely. If the coupons keep saving me around
Walmart+ also has free Paramount+ (with ads)

Not sure when they added this benefit but it was sometime after the $49 Warmart+ deal offered around Thanksgiving and announced here.
For me, I will be moving from the free ad-supported tier to this P+ tier, thanks to this benefit.
Looking at it from a different angle, I would be paying full price for Paramount+ to get Walmart+ for $8.80 (or $3 without tax). Because I don't often shop at Walmart I would not have signed up for Walmart+, but I did want Paramount. It's tempting to upgrade when you first see the offer 40% off Paramount+ with Showtime (no ads) for $64.00 after you sign up for this deal. The deal will now have gone from costing $58.00 to $122.00, plus whatever had been paid for the Disney+ subscription. [Disney+ is currently $140 or was $97 if renewed before the last price change.]
Without the discount in this deal, the total combined cost would have been about $350.00. Disney+ $140, Paramount+ $120, Walmart+ $98 plus tax. More if the subscriptions aren't canceled before each of them auto renew since I doubt rates will go down.
Marketing and Sales at its finest! (AI,Disney,Paramount,Walmart+++).

Eventually they will have scales on the sales floor that you will scan for a weight.

Where is that?
Didn't have access to free delivery-from-store due to my location. A bummer because the Shop Rite near me already has a "shop from home" feature and I don't need a subscription for that.
Free "1-2 day" shipping is very similar to Amazon Prime. 99% of the items i ordered from both services arrived before the end of the two day mark once shipped
My Walmart doesn't have a gas station so I had to use Exxon Mobile. A bit redundant because the Exxon Mobile app already has you save 20-30 cents off per gallon or whatever. Probably more worth it for the people who have Walmart/Murphy gas stations near them.
Already had Paramount+ prior to the free trial. Similar to most streaming services: has everything except the stuff you want to watch.
Mobile Scan & Go works, but it seems like yet another attempt to not pay cashiers as you have to go to a self-checkout anyway. If you REALLY want to save time bagging (with your own bags), it's an okay feature.
Free Returns works just like how it does with Amazon Prime and UPS. You pack the thing, a delivery driver picks up your package, you sign, and they're on their way.
Dunno about the Free tire repair because it's a new feature and my trial period didn't have that.
In the end, Walmart+ is basically a variation of Amazon Prime as Walmart is trying to compete with them. I got some use out of it for the month, but not enough to justify pay $12/month or $48-$98/year Just keep in mind that unless you live in a very populated area, you may not get access to all the features Walmart+ provides.

I chatted with Walmart and asked them about it. She said I would definitely get the $50 Walmart cash if I used the Disney link but that it would take 48 hours to show up. She gave me an incident number and said to contact them if I didn't get it. 48 hours later no Walmart cash so I chatted again. Gave the rep the incident number and he said I will definitely be getting the Walmart cash on the 5th business day after signing up. That will be this coming Wednesday so we'll see.
