I read some reviews about the HydraMotion, as well as this HydraJolt model, that also claim to have received DOA speakers, likely with similar build issues. The most basic level of QC would have uncovered a bluetooth speaker that has speakers that don't work at all lol. I'd go the extra couple bucks and spring for an equivalent JBL model personally, but to each his own.

Their credit card processing flagged my purchase as fraud and cancelled it. By the time they got it working the speaker I wanted had sold out. I had less than nice words to say to them, rather than tell me to F off, they sent me the speaker for free when it came back in stock. That told me everything I needed to know about warehouse b.
Hell, look at the replies here. What other company do you see on slick deals talking to their customers?
It's true that altec is not bose. But the speakers we've gotten have been pretty damned good. I'm not expecting $300 experience from a $30 speaker but all the ones weve gotten have sounded better than what we paid.
Let's see, box and packing material at wholesale price $2. + Employee time to pack and label.
Then there's the actual shipping company cost.
Cost to ship east coast to east coast, $7-10. Cost to ship from one side of nation to other $12-20 for speaker sized item via ground.
