Hey running shoe aficionados, a question for you:
After how many miles, let's say on asphalt, will the cushy foam sole on a Hoka, like this one, start to flatten out and lose its softness and cushiness? 100? 500? 1000?

If you don't run, I recommend the Cliftons as your first pair. The Gaviotas are more of a motion control shoe. I love them, but the Cliftons are more cushy for everyday walking.

Thanks. I canceled the order with Hoka after an online chat with a rep there. Mainly because I'm looking for convenient, hands-free sneakers -- i.e., slip-ins, not lace-ups. So I just placed an order with Kizik for their Wasatch shoes. Maybe that'll be good, plus I found a $20-off referral link on YouTube.

These look like the Invincible lineup from Nike. I own a pair of Hoka's but not like this. I noticed that the current Hoka I wear are more comfortable than my Nike Pegasus. I love my Hokas. I wouldn't be surprised if you felt like you were walking on Cloud-9 with these on.

I have Gaviota 5, like them. 11 2E unfortunately so no go on this deal.

Previously been using Bondi series...7 and 8.. but unable to find my size so went with Gaviota series. Good, but prefer the Bondi.
