Just got an alert that this is (finally) on sale from Microsoft! Has been on "sale" for $65 for the digital copy while Nintendo and Sony had there's discounted, now Microsoft is selling it cheap!

Can anyone tell me what the DLC does other than add playable characters? Extra areas/levels? And what do all the playable characters add to the gameplay?

is this something that would be fun on portable? (switch lite) or better on big screen like xbox?

You literally just get to play as another character. It's just a skin because there's no voice, dialogue, no extra nuthin. I don't know why people get so excited over this to the point where they'd pay full price. For sale on the other hand it's kinda fun playing as different characters.

It's fun on both. Depends on whether you want it on the "go" or not. Then again the backbone exists for Xbox and you can remote play with a regular controller too. Just need stable internet or decent 5G.

I always personally go with the Switch because it's the regular one that connects to the TV, but since getting a backbone for my phone I might give this a try on Xbox.

Except the switch has limited space. I always buy on non-switch when I have choice. Switch is for first party titles. Maybe they will come with 1-2 tb micro SD cards but not in this cycle.

I do have a 1TB SD card and I find it to be enough. I typically delete what I haven't played in a while and just reinstall later if needed. Ex. Mario Party, Kart, or multiplayer games I play with friends. I'll let them keep it on their switch and I'll go to their house 🤣 life hack

Be warned: if you're OCD about collectibles and 100% this game will consume hundreds of hours. My wife and I revisit this game each year to get through more levels and try to finish everything and we're still only about 75%. Massive value for $20 but quite the time sink trying to see it all.
