I had Moto G Power, Moto G stylus, both 2020 release. These great mid range phones. I do not play games, but for everything else these phones work perfectly. I do not know about Moto Edge 2022 offered by T-Mobile, but Moto Edge 2023 is at least as good as my Pixel 6 Pro, my be not as good in Photo department, but other than that it looks and behaves like premium phone.

Go to the other (previous) thread.

More subscribers complain because either TMO or Costco (or both) messed up the gift card process.

Also, more subscribers still waiting for their GC

This is not an online order. TMobile gives me zero for my trade-ins. If its a costco only deal then the OP should put that in the description

Last December when the mobile kiosks were closed, i ported out all my 4 TMO lines after being activated for only 2 weeks due to the uncertainty of receiving the gift cards. But lo and behold…..after like 4 months, I got all 4 gc.

I called Costco number. Took a few tries for the call to go thru. Maybe they weren't open yet.
So you called your local Costco and then talked to someone from the mobile department?

Have been using Moto Edge 2022 for the past couple of months.
The goods are:
Bright OLED screen with great outdoor visibility. It also has 144 FPS.
Wireless QI and Fast Charging.
NFC for Google Pay.
8GB RAM and speedy.

The Bad:
Camera. The Camera on this phone is comparable to Samsug A Series. The images are better than A32 not as good as A54. If are used to Pixel and Samsung S Series OPTICAL Zoom, this will disappoint you but overall decent camera.
Not so good on 4G coverage and 5G switching is not always smooth. This could be to my local area. Once or twice a week, I turn Airplane mode On and Off to reconnect.
Battery only lasts a day. I have over 160 apps installed on this phone across three different profiles, although the phone is zippy the battery -despite 5000 mAMP- only lasts me a one full day. Battery usage reports most of the power being used by Cellular Network. Frequency hopping is this phone biggest weakness. I have tried to disable 5G but that caused lots of coverage drops.

Still in Android 12. Despite Moto promise of update, there has not been Android 13 or 14 upgrade.

Overall good phone. In my opinion better than A54 not as good as S22/S23 FE and a lot less than P7/P8 or S22/S23.
I concur with your assessment.

To anyone on the fence, this phone is not a flagship, but you are not paying flagship prices nor need a flagship trade-in. You are only paying taxes with any postpaid plans eligible with any phone trade-in. This phone is a solid mid-range phone that you pay $0 for with a commitment to T-mobile for 2 years. If you are happy with T-mobile and have old or broken $0 value phones, this is a worthwhile upgrade. Keep in mind T-mobile still gives you credit even if you pay off the phone early, so if a better upgrade comes later, you would still be eligible for the later upgrade.

Just an update. Speaking with tmobile via 611. They called me back and transferred me to promotions and issued me a $75 credit which was immediate on my bill.

Yes. You are not required to use the phone on the line or even your account. I've even gifted promo phones before and continued receiving the bill credit.

I guess to unlock the phone you need to completely payoff the balance. However you will continue receiving the bill credits.

I did an earlier variant of this deal in Feb 2023, only then a more restricted set of trade-in low-end phones was eligible. Sometime in summer I got the rebate, about 5-6 months. According to the T-mobile tracker, the rebate was denied earlier than that, though I didn't notice - but I actually received it oddly.

What was your trade-ins filed under? Just completed my order and the T-mobile agent filed them as ONLY Smartphone 230424 ONLY Smartphone 230424 - ONLY Smartphone 230424. Looks right since the promotion name is Smartphone Trade ID230424.

no eligible device purchased within promo period. Tmobile rep doesnt know why neither since he can see the phone purchase date and EIP credit is there on the phone. Actually EIP credit fell off after first month for no reason. I had to contact tmobile to add it back and it sticks now. Im on 3rd month credit now
My past Tmobile trade in credit also gone on the second month. Good thing I checked the bill and noticed it. Had to talk to several Tmobile reps to fix it. So do monitor your bill occasionally.
