Just a fair warning, the base M3 does not allow for dual external displays. Only one external display allowed.

Ordered one, thanks OP.
PROs:
This is th best value laptop you can find with the M3 lineup:
This is a great deal, the new air with m3 will probably start at $1,100. Add 512 GB SSD and 16 GB ram will become $1,500. The M3 pro starts at $2k, I never seen it cheaper than $1,800.

Cons:
Compared to M3 pro models, it is weaker in terms of performance, there is one fewer usb-c port, no new black color, and supports only one external monitor.

I don't know for sure, but they are a publicly traded company and their website says they're a corporate reseller of Apple Products. 🤷 ♂️
Apple claims the warranty starts from the date of purchase from authorized resellers. Which they are.

Yes, putting a non-Pro chip in the 14" MBP for the M3 generation is particularly frustrating because the M1 and M2 revisions exclusively had Pro chips, which meant that ANY 14" MBP could work with more than one external display without requiring DisplayLink, which in my experience has been suboptimal (blurry with some resolutions on some monitors with my M1 MBA w/ non-Pro chip).

So now the phrase, "any 14" or 16" MBP will support more than one external display" comes with an asterisk for the 2023 14" MBP M3 (non-Pro) models.

The base M3 14" MBp (little "p") is the "red-headed step-child" of the MBP line. It'll never really be part of the Pro (big "P") family.

I fully support the discontinuation of that 13" model to easy their supply chain. It's just going to be damn confusing to consumers.

I won't use display link. Text appears blurry. I hate that they limit the non pro chips to 1 external display. Anyways that's their business model.

Yeah I'm not sure why you are getting downvoted. That shit is just straight up confusing and it's literally a scam at this point.
I'm not going to say it isn't confusing. I was a little confused at first as well. But these pro models are over a grand. Why would consumers do a little homework before buying one.

Maybe the gap between what you call pro and the air is actually what someone needs. More options is not a bad thing.

Does anyone have any experience with returning stuff to PC Connection? I was abbout to pull the trigger on this but then I saw their return policy:

"All non-defective returns authorized by PC Connection, whether opened or unopened, will be assessed a minimum 15% restocking fee"

Initially purchased the 8gb model deal from Microcenter. Tested it out for a few weeks and wasn't happy with the RAM performance for my use. I'll be returning that and ordering this, should be more than enough for my need for at least the next 5 years. I never purchased from this website before so hopefully everything goes well. Thank you for this!

This is a good deal and exactly the laptop I would get if I needed one for semi-pro use. As long as you're OK with only one external display, this thing will serve you well for many years to come.
