3 options. All TVs run ads and or violate your privacy

1. Don't connect it to the internet. Run Apple TV.
2. Run pihole or similar on your network.
3. Go work for the TV division of Samsung, get promoted, and fire the executive who allowed this practice.

Seems solid for the price and only $77 for a 4 year warranty add on. We're getting warmer!

I am in the same situation. Ordered the 75" Sony over the Thanksgiving weekend and TV has yet to leave Florida. I am in Nevada.

My advice, if you use the smart TV features on this TV directly wire it to your Internet. The WiFi is garbage on these Samsung TVs and stops working on a daily basis. Turning off and turning on the TV WiFi fixes the problem but it is annoying, especially if you are watching something as it goes out.

If you utilize Pi-hole with these TVs then the streaming apps (i.e. YouTube) on the TV itself do not work. I had that issue when running a pi-hole setup.

It should still work. Pi-hole won't block a majority of YouTube ads because YouTube hosts the ad instead of some ad server which is easily blocked. Pi-hole isn't completely set-it and forget-it. I does require some tweaking. Regardless the smart function of these tvs continue to be privacy invasive. I choose to not connect them to the internet so they can nmap my entire network.

A cheaper option than using a pi-hole to block ads is to use something like a different DNS server that blocks ads. I use NextDNS enough that I even bought a subscription, and set my home router to use that on all devices. The 'trial' version works for like 300k lookups I think.

I haven't had a commercial on pandora since I started using nextdns. Though with the question about youtube - changing the dns server will not block the ads on yt. It did seem to break the functionality of 'freevee' and another free streaming service.

Anyone check if Beach Audio is offering this TV and price on their eBay account?
