I these are meant to wear as a pocket knife so it is always on your side, not be loose inside your car. If your car is on it's side / upside down the knife in your change tray won't be in the change tray any longer (gravity). And no, being buried at the bottom of your glove box isn't any better.

I'm a firefighter/EMT, for anybody in my (or similar) situation, I mainly use this as a pen light for checking pupils. The glass breaker does work, I tested it during an extrication drill. I don't see myself using the seatbelt cutter since I have shears, but I know it's there/it serves as a backup. I bought this a couple years ago during a similar sale, I have no complaints for use as a cheap tool. I'm going to grab another just in case I lose/forget mine on scene someday.

It's just a push button to turn it on. It's a press for on so even if you accidentally turn it on, as soon as you move/take pressure off it turns off. It isn't an on/off switch if that's what you're asking, just press and hold/on demand. The light itself isn't bright, which is good since it's not blinding. The battery is a CR1220 which is easy to replace, I use the light a lot, even when walking in the dark. I've had to replace it a few times already. Do know, when I say I walk with it in the dark, it's NOT bright. I'm in a rural area with very little illumination so I use it pointing almost straight down to make sure I don't trip. It's not something that'll illuminate a path. I live in Oregon & it's been exposed to a lot of rain. no rust, and the light still works.

Gotcha thanks! Saw that it was 5lumens (1=full moon) so yeah I know that is pretty dark. I feel that flashlight is the biggest functionality I'd use, but I always accidentally turn on and leave them on killing the battery; seems like it will be hard but that battery.
