I have these, and wish I didn't. To use the Sony app (needed for customizing and enabling many of the features) you have to agree to absurd privacy violations, including allowing Sony to collect and store the names, titles, and info of anything you listen to or watch.

Sound quality is great, just a bit more slippery than last version as they are smaller and now smooth plastic instead of matte.

Been waiting for this one from Secondipity. Thanks OP! Snagged one. Love my WF-1000XM4's (also snagged from Secondipity long ago). Best sound of any buds I've owned by quite a bit. They never quite fit perfectly though. Looking forward to these!

I have mixed feelings about these earbuds. The microphone on it sucks really bad from the reviews. I have a pair and I find it difficult to get a good fit. They're harder to put in the ears than the WF-1000XM4 it replaces. Noise isolation does not seem to work as well as the XM4 but then again it could be the bad fit. I'm using the largest tips.

I have *exactly* the same feelings. I went back to the XM4. I imagine Secondipity is selling my XM5s now

I tried several different tips. I really didn't like how they fit my ears. I also tried the Technics AZ80 earbuds, which sound really good and were as comfortable as the XM4s (in a different way); but that mic (like the xm5) wasn't as good. Actually, my favorites overall were the M&D MW08s, except they had totally worthless noise cancellation.

The exact price limit I was looking for to get these, my 1000xm4s that sony replaced a year ago just had the batteries ruined with an update. If you have been keeping an eye on these on eBay, you should check your email. They sent me a coupon for an additional $5 off

These seem like a great deal, I recently got the Sony WF-C500s and love them but that was only $30.00. Is there anyone that has both and can tell me how much of an upgrade this would be specifically looking at sound quality comparisons.
