Ollie's has some D&D stuff on a crazy low price currently, in their ad.

Campaign Case: Terrain or Creatures - $2.99
Warriors of Krynn Board Game - $9.99

My local Ollie's had a fair bit, with signs posted of max of 5 per person.

Wow, those are crazy prices. Does the board game suck that bad that they're clearing them out at that price already?

The title makes it seem all 3 are $2.99. They are not. The Warrior of Krynn game is 9.99. Having this in the description is good but the title is misleading

I actually went to buy 2 of each on Wednesday and I was lucky enough to get them as the whole county police department was there buying every single one of them to resell. My store doesn't have a limit. At first I thought maybe for children donations or something until I heard them talking lol

The board game gets a 6.9 on boardgamegeek, so not terrible by any means. Not stellar, but not an awful terrible no good score. For comparison, the very best games get an 8.0 or above. Of course everything is subjective.

I buy and play a lot of games and usually 7.0 is my floor, unless I have a particular interest in the theme. I bought this game used about a month ago for more than this, but haven't got around to playing it yet..... Dragonlance has a place in my heart from reading the books as a teenager.

I was interested in it mainly because the idea behind it is to integrate big army battles into the middle of a usual hero character driven usual D&D campaign. I've tried to do that before in games that I DM and have had poor success, so I'm curious to see how this game does it.

I owned this back in the day:

https://boardgamegeek.com/boardga...ragonlance

It was massive and I think I played it only once, and maybe not even all the way through. No one wanted to learn the rules and my D&D friends would rather play tabletop when we got together.

But I was in Ollie's tonight and the new Krynn game was 9.99 and it was member's night 25% off Toys and Games. So I bought it depsite having no one to play with but my family and my kids are 9 and 11...so hopefully it won't be too over their head. Might have to sit in the closet for a while but how could I turn it down for $7.50???

Is there a way to get notified when Ollie's has more games in stock? I heard they might get a bunch of RPGs later this year due to a distributor bankruptcy. I'm not likely to remember to check their Ollie's Army emails which I get but are auto-sorted into Promotions folder that I never check.
