There are the toaster oven type air fryers which usually don't have non-stick touching the food but I think due to the way the basket-type air fryers function it only works well with a non-stick surface for the basket.

Also, if you are just air frying few pieces of chicken fresh each time for 1 or 2 persons, go for no higher than 4 qt. A smaller would do better because hot air will be more efficiently used in smaller volume, and for quicker results. It will also save on unnecessary weR on the unit as well as saves energy.

Thats what manufacturers deserve for making throwaway items with crappy reliability and having to jump through hoops for decent service/warranty
And just like the other poster above, my analog 4qt unit just died after a year of use. I didn't even bother with a warranty claim.
This brand is low quality.
This or the 8 quart when it goes back down again?
