I'd like to find an air fryer without a nonstick surface inside. I can understand why a lot of these have nonstick, but at those kind of temperatures there are definitely still some risks regarding nonstick surfaces and off gassing.
I agree with you on that, non stick cookware has linked to lot of health issues
The highest temperature this air fryer is capable of is 400°. Most non-stick coatings these days are rated for 500° before any degradation happens.

There are the toaster oven type air fryers which usually don't have non-stick touching the food but I think due to the way the basket-type air fryers function it only works well with a non-stick surface for the basket.

Who cares the outer covering is stainless steel. It's merely mentioned because the manufacturer knows people are looking for stainless cooking surfaces so they mislead by talking about the exterior.

My Bella, analog one, 4.2 qt. That I had gotten on a deal just a year ago, failed today. Going with the warranty claim with Bella is a tedious process. They wanted so many photos, videos, receipts, and what was wrong. It took approximately 10 email back and forth before I would be issued a check for $20 purchase as that model is not available and they do not substitute or they just didn't give me a straight answer. Although warranty period of TWO years is reasonable, but it's a hassle dealing with them for $20 irem. They don't care. So beware !

Also, if you are just air frying few pieces of chicken fresh each time for 1 or 2 persons, go for no higher than 4 qt. A smaller would do better because hot air will be more efficiently used in smaller volume, and for quicker results. It will also save on unnecessary weR on the unit as well as saves energy.
Thats why i encourage return swaps if you know what i mean

Just gotta match something something

Thats what manufacturers deserve for making throwaway items with crappy reliability and having to jump through hoops for decent service/warranty

This 6qt has the flat contact area of a 4qt unit.

And just like the other poster above, my analog 4qt unit just died after a year of use. I didn't even bother with a warranty claim.

This brand is low quality.

I will never buy a Bella product again after they didn't honor warranty. I had bought last year a Bella rice cooker from Best Buy. In a few months of usage it started giving shock while still under warranty. I contacted Bella support and provided all information they asked for including a video that showed a tester beeping. No response after that from them despite my repeated asking. So, Bella doesn't know how to make safe electric products nor do they honor warranty!

I would never do that. It's unethical and ungodly thing to do for which you will be questioned in the eternal hereafter. Besides, the same model may no longer be available or sometimes the clerk could open and check visually, and there is risk of embarrassment. On top of all, you would be punishing the retailers, not the manufacturer. Plus you would be contributing to raising prices and less deals for everybody. Please don't do that and learn to live with yourself.
