These are not like other hydroflask insulated cups. They're like a rubbery material that's like an sleeve and there is a gap between the colored part and stainless rim and water and other fluids will get in there. I'd go with another brand if you're looking for an insulated mug. Zoom in on the pictures and you can see it. I have one I bought a few years ago, it's gross. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The 12-Oz is currently priced at $17 and Frontpage these are 24-Oz at $20. I have personally been using this mug for over a year and have not had the issues you speak of,

same. I've had this same mug (in the 12 oz variety) as my every day coffee drinker for 2+ years with NEVER a problem. it's my favorite "mug" style one that I use for around the house or the office.
