Be careful with the warranty. I did the same thing for an electric scooter and it broke before the warranty was up. They tell you to bring it to a shop and get an estimate of repairs. The warranty covers up to the cost of the item, in this case, it's 55 bucks. If the repair is $200, they will only owe you 55 bucks and you pay the rest. They want to see the repair bill paid in full before they cut you that $55 check. You now just paid 145 for the radio if the repair is only 200. B E W A R E of these warranties from Walmart - I believe they use Allstate which owns Squaretrade.

this is concerning, ive been running my scooter but it's not even close to the 3 year mark but i haven't turned it in for a claim yet.

I have this in my 2005 Jeep LJ and it was a great buy. My only complaint is the screen seems to scratch easily….

It's very cheap and while there are plenty of things you can cheap out on car audio head units should not be one of them. Do you what you want but I'd recommend getting name brand equipment to avoid headaches

Bought this for 70 last month and installed it. Since install it had a weird audio problem where only the volume of the guidance on Google maps via Android auto would work. All other audio like radio, CD and Spotify on Android auto were muted. It was the weirdest problem ever. I called their support and it seemed like some guy in his garage but he told me to reset it and that worked. Unfortunately the audio is out again

It's $50. This is for someone who just wants something that looks cool, is a functional upgrade to a basic AM/FM head and might do a few neato things on top of that (probably not very well though). If you want to know RAM specs, bluetooth protocol, etc....this isn't for you.

I have one of these el cheapo Android heads and it is great for what it is.

That's fair. I picked up a wireless Carplay/AA Touchscreen unit that connects to the Aux-in or FM station for $39, and it works a treat.
That said, someone might still want to know the specs in order to troubleshoot/hack this thing when it goes tango uniform.

I bought the version of this head unit that doesn't have the dvd drive on clearance a few years ago for $70. It's definitely worth $55 possibly $100. The first thing you MUST do for this brand is update the firmware, that resolved most of the problems in the reviews for the older unit and I'm hoping it does the same for this one. I will once every two weeks get a crash but the units reboots within a minute so it's not horrible. It's great to have Android Auto or Apple Carplay on an older car. You can buy adapters that plug into the USB port on the face of this unit to use make it WIRELESS android auto or apple carplay. I've seen them on sale for about $50 on SD. It's also nice as it allows hookup for a front and rear cam.
