1) "Worst game you've ever bought" - looks like you haven't played many games then.
2) "Extremely confusing" - I can understand some confusion because the game doesn't exactly hold your hand and tell you exactly where to go, but as I recall most of the time it's not too difficult to get on the right path by actually reading what the characters say in the game. Also, just by sheer exploration, you usually get to where you need to go. Lastly and most importantly, why wouldn't you at least use an online guide to get pointed in the right direction? There's no shame in that.
3) "You'll get lost nonstop running into the edge of the screen" - I think I recall maybe 1-2 occasions where this situation occurred for me in the ENTIRE game. All I did was run back the way I came from and moved on... Never really thought about it again. You're making this way too dramatic.
I'm going just going to assume that you generally may not like some of these types of Metrovania style games because they won't hold your hand and guide you every step up this way. You're meant to explore/discover and find main/optional paths.

One of the higher rated games you'll find on Metacritic. You're in the minority. It sounds like you grew up in the "cupcake generation" of gamers. Some games won't hold your hand for you.
