For anyone who would like to remove the permissions you granted for this deal, go here: https://myaccount.google.com/connections

Then, look for an entry called "gweb-play-points-app"

You can remove the permissions by clicking on the entry, then at the bottom you click on "Delete all connections you have with gweb-play-points-app"

Ok, I chatted with support and rep said that the 40% off requires you to be at gold level for at least 10 days before it will work. This promo is good until 12/31. The trade-in values and current google store discounts are supposed to remain the same until 12/31 so I guess you can wait 10 days and get this deal without losing on any current deals.

Google doesn't let promos stack. This will be off the MSRP and not their current ongoing discount.

This is INCREDIBLY suspicious and likely a phishing scam.

Yes, Firebase is owned by Google, but it's a platform for third parties to host their own apps. Something being run on Firebase DOES not indicate it's owned by Google. If anything, it's the opposite. The first domain linked here is "withgoogle.com", not a subdomain of google.com, which is already a red flag. Then the flow required OAuth signin to some third-party Firebase app. Google would not offer discounts in this way.
The domain is owned by Google and has been used by Google for marketing in the past.

I've been sitting on my Note 20 Ultra for a while and was waiting on the 24 to come out Jan. Should I just snag the 8 Pro and call it a day?
I did the same. My camera on ultra 20 is shitty. Never focusses

Just got the 8 Pro. The 40% is off of full price $999. But I also had my 7 Pro for trade-i and it ended up only about $340 after tax.

Can't decide if I want to jump on this or not. $267 after taxes for a 256GB P8 w/ Pixel 5 trade-in is a good deal, but my P5 still works fine and I hate to give up the rear FPS. Decisions, decisions...

Best phone I've ever had. Sucks they got rid of the physical fingerprint sensor on the back. But it is at its EOL software wise. And the P8 comes pretty close in terms of dimensions. So maybe I should just bite the bullet.

Thanks! 40% off pixel tablet. 40% off 499, not the 399 sale price. $319.24 total. Plus got 29.94 store credit. I have gold status.
Do you think it's a good deal? I am debating on if I should get it

Can confirm, just ordered the Pixel 8 and it went from $699 to $419.40, instead of their current sale price of $599. So the deal doesn't stack, but it's an even better discount nonetheless. Also went and removed the 3rd party permissions for FireBase App immediately after purchase via the https://myaccount.google.com/connections?pli=1 page. Glad I found this thread, as I literally had the phone in the cart and was about to checkout when I search for and found this promo.

For those of you looking into this to determine if it is a scam, look up the WHOIS on firebaseapp.com and play.withgoogle.com. This is Google via MarkMonitor, LLC Registrar. MarkMonitor is an industry leader in enterprise brand management and protection against counterfeiting. If you're tech/security minded, you can dive down the rabbit hole via https://mxtoolbox.com/whois.aspx and https://talosintelligence.com/reputation_center/ .

Edit Update: 12/11

As noted in flinchmaster's reply, I made an oversight. FirebaseApp is not owned by Google. So, I made an error in my discovery (excellent catch and call out flinchmaster). Google really should have ran the promo directly through their own sites services, even though the promo is legitimate.

Edit Update: 12/12

I submitted a formal support request to Google Support to investigate the legitimacy of the offer. After 2+ hours on chat and 30 mins on phone support and 9 different people, they confirmed this to be a Google authorized promotion and just not everyone that is eligible has received the offer yet.
