Some report that joining Google One Premium (2TB) will give you a benefit to jump to Google Play Points Gold. YMMV - I upgraded my 100GB membership to 2TB nine days ago and no such benefit has been provided. Google Support is unable and/or unwilling to help.

They said you would be eligible once you have maintained Gold Status for 10 days, and that once eligible, you should be able to "view and access details and a unique promo code through an in-product card under the Perks Tab" I know some of you all said 3 days, so I'm hoping you all are the ones who are correct, rather than Google's dumpster fire support team.
