It's very difficult to trust plastic stuff, especially for outdoor use.
No shade whatsoever.
Even durable plastic isn't designed for constant sun exposure.
Some of the lower Amazon ratings indicate it won't last in this type of environment.
Though tempted to get it for the one faucet that gets shade.
It isn't used that often, as long as the diverter doesn't get stuck from lack of regular use.
The little ones like it and know how to adjust it for when they are playing in the yard so we will buy another as a replacement at this price.

If anyone has any idea of something that could split off an aerator from the kitchen sink into a garden house connector while keeping the kitchen sink working I'd would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
See photo in first link. That looks like a dishwasher hose on the side.

The Amazon offering comes with multiple adapters:

Here's a splitter that also has valves so you can open one, both or none. There are many other models on Amazon as well, some of which are brass. Note that this is specified for garden hoses. I don't know if kitchen faucets are the same size.

This Aqua Joe faucet/hose connector has an overall rating of 4.5 / 5 stars at Amazon and 4.6 / 5 stars at Walmart.
Also, yes, we can see review ratings too. But that's mostly people 1) only review items right after they start using it, and the question here is long-term durability (plastic subject to UV etc), and 2) this population is self-selected to exclude people who would never buy it because we understand its inherent limitations.
