Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds drop to $81.59 in cart with educational discount, wired headset trade-in, and additional "your cart has qualified for an additional discount" notification when using the Samsung Shop App.

1. Sign into the Samsung Shop App (additional discount did NOT apply when using a browser online) with an account that qualifies for their educational discount.
2. Chose wired audio headset for trade-in and agree to the terms.
3. Click Buy Now
4. Cart will say $101.99
5. Click Checkout
6. Notification pops up saying "It's your lucky day. A discount was applied to one or more of your items in your cart." and "The price of your item(s) in your cart has changed." Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Graphite has changed from $101.99 to $81.59.

I qualify for and use the educational discount, and I do not use my educational email address with my Samsung account. However, I don't recall the original process I went through to verify my qualification (maybe ID.me?). I have used my personal email address without issue on all my Samsung purchases and accounts.

Has anyone tried these in comparison to the Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless? I bought the Sennheiser for my brother for Christmas but debating getting these for him instead and returning the Sennheisers. I paid 80 for those. He has a Pixel phone. Thanks!

Also a tip for iPhone users that can't have access to Samsung phone, but have a windows pc. There is an app for windows, use your pc to config the buds and it will transfer when using on iOS

Also, here is the link to the Samsung eligibility verification information page. They do use the ID.me process for verification. So, once verified, I think you can use any email address.

Yes...

This is from 3 years ago but they'll accept cheap wired earphones. Try getting one from your local dollar tree.

I plan on sending in an airplane headset.

If you are purchasing via the Shop Samsung App, you don't need to go through the EDU account verification. It simply worked for me during the recent galaxy watch deals. Couldn't get the EDU prices via desktop. Worked without any hassle on the App. YMMV.

My go to buds at this point. I got the first pair with the Fold 4 and they still works fine. When I upgraded to the Fold 5, it's no brainer to grab the spare for $50. I like how they can be seemlessly switched between phone, tablet and even MacBook.
